Waking up in Shanghai next to Edrice made the butterflies flutter around in his stomach in a wild pace. The alarm had woken them up and she hummed in protest as it signed that they had to get out of bed. "Princesse...". Charles' lips roamed over her neck and towards her jaw. Edrice moved her hands up his chest under the warm duvet, her legs still tangled with his. Her dark eyes looked back at him as she felt his fingers moving through her hair. "I still feel jet lagged". She complained, being shushed by his lips on her afterwards. He meant it as just a kiss, knowing they needed to get up soon, however her kiss was so addictive he barely could get himself to move. Charles traveled his fingertips up her bare spine, her sportsbra forming the only piece of clothing between their upper bodies. "As much as I'd like to stay in bed with you all day...". Charles sighed as he parted from her. "I really need to drive the car today". He said then and Edrice smiled in response.
"I'll take a shower". She yawned and sat up as well, swinging her legs over the egde of the bed and moving towards her suitcase to get some clothing out of it. Charles moved his hands through his messy hair, deciding he'd need to wet it a bit first before making his appearance at the track. Andrea would be here soon as well and they'd travel to the circuit with the three of them. It was just a ten minute drive from the hotel to Shanghai International Circuit anyway. He was happy to have Edrice with him, it formed an extra boost to perform well and extra motivation to get a podium this weekend. Bahrain proved that they had the car, that they had the speed, if only the car didn't give up in the last half of the race. Charles stood up too when he heard the shower running. Edrice luckily wasn't one to stand in front of the mirror for hours. He loved that she could do her makeup for an hour if she needed to, but she absolutely wasn't complaining if she needed to be quick and had to leave without it.
It once again showed her confidence and how comfortable she felt around him. And honestly, even if she dressed up like a garbage she'd still be the most beautiful girl he had ever laid his eyes on. Charles got himself into some clean underwear and a pair of jeans, swinging a team shirt over his head and laying his cap on the table next to his Phone to make sure he wouldn't forget it. He wetted his hair a bit in the bathroom and brushed his teeth while he listened to her humming under the shower. Edrice was quick to shower and dry off afterwards, wrapping her hair up in a towel for a moment while she got into her jeans and put on some socks. Edrice decided she could leave her hair down and wait for it to try throughout the morning instead of holding everyone up by blow drying it now. Edrice took her shoulder bag with her and checked if she had every necassery thing in it. Charles was on his Phone while he waited for her and looked up as she sprayed some perfume on her neck.
"Ready?". Charles asked and shoved his Phone in the backpocket of his jeans. She nodded back and they went outside on the hallway, just in time as Andrea was about to knock on their door. "Goodmorning lovebirds". Andrea greeted, friendly and cheerful as ever. "Buongiorno". Edrice replied and he clapped his hands as she greeted him in his native language. "You should do a video once where you learn him to speak your language". Andrea said, his accent clearly sounding through. "That's not a bad idea actually, I think an Instagram live would be great". Edrice said and then both turned to Charles, who was drowning in the media duties already. "We'll see". He muttered and it caused Edrice to chuckle, her hand curling around his arm as they stood in the elevator. In the parking garage of the hotel, a Ferrari was ready for them as provided by the company in Shanghai. Charles took the keys from the valet parking guy and took a seat behind the wheel.
Andrea sat next to him and Edrice in the back, having the time to look out of the windows on their way to the circuit. The training was starting at ten, but they were early because of a briefing with his engineers and he had some interviews here and there. Of course the way to the circuit would include many fans and that time was lost there as well, so it was good that they were this early. Yesterday morning, the fans were waiting for him at the airport and they were so passionate about their favourite driver. Charles said the Chinese and the Japanese fans are the most dedicated, next to the tifosi in Monza obviously. He had received gifts that included special sweets, drawings, cards, all sorts of cute things. The pictures of him with some fans were all over Instagram already and Edrice glady explored his fanpages when she had nothing to do. She had asked him what he thought of so many fans and he said he absolutely loved that he was so supported, however it made some things very though.
