panic attacks suck.
i may have them sometimes,
usually when i overthink too much.
i had one yesterday.
i hate them.
saturn was shy today.
he sat beside me on the bus and softy spoke, "hi."
my hands were fidgety, "hey."
i wanted to stare into his brown eyes,
losing myself within the stars,
but i held myself back.
i stared out the window,
the feeling of his presence beside me felt honestly painful.
i wanted to say something,
and i knew he wanted to as well.
my throat grew tight once i tried to mutter a word.
say something, i wished.
yet he didn't say one thing.
i got off the bus sadly,
until i was shoved.
i looked up to a boy who was politely picking his books from off the gravel ground, "sorry, i didn't mean to bump into you. people are in such a rush today."
let's call him mars.
i picked one of his weirdly heavy books up and placed it into his hand, "oh, it's okay,"
his hair was blonde at the tips, and his eyes shimmered through dimness of the cloudy day.
but i couldn't help but wish it was saturn's eyes.
mars smiled once i handed him the heavy book, "i'm so glad this book wasn't ruined on the impact."
i raised an eyebrow whilst taking a look at the book, "space?"
he nodded while starting to slowly walk into our school, "yeah, isn't space crazy? it's like -- my favorite subject."
i agreed with him, "i know. i love space too."
"really? what's your favorite planet?" he asked excitedly.
"pluto." i said blankly. he nodded, "i love pluto so much!"
my heart jumped.
what?
"really?"
"yeah! i feel like that planet is so underrated."
"but -- it's not a planet, right?"
he shrugged, "whatever, honestly. i think that if you're in space than you're basically already cool. wouldn't it be amazing to explore pluto too?"
my heart was filled with joy,
i couldn't believe my own ears.
"what's your favorite planet?" i asked him.
he shook his head with a smile plastered on his face, "i don't really know! they're all so amazing. i think i'd choose between pluto or saturn."
i literally was in shock.
"what's your name?" he asked me. i scratched my forehead, "call me pluto. but, my real name is ----."
"all righty. hello pluto, i'm mars. ------."
and maybe,
(only maybe)
pluto felt some love today.
not from saturn,
but from mars.
which would make sense as mars is closer to the sun than saturn.
but pluto felt warmth,
and i loved it.
