"About myself?" Taehyung questioned, confused about what the C.E.O was talking about.

"Yes. I heard from Jungkook that you have changed lately. Jimin said you were being secretive and distant to them," Sihyuk replied.

Taehyung chuckled, not surprised at all. "It seemed so," He replied while grinning. He leaned closer at the table, folding his arms as he continued fiddling his fingers on the table.

"Something's off, right?"

Silence.

"You can tell me Tae. I won't tell anyone, I assure you," he said lovingly.

Taehyung replied a stare at him. Few seconds later, Taehyung looked down, grinning sadly. "Have you ever felt longing for the absence of someone you've known from a very long time ago?"

The old lad hummed. "Homesick?"

Taehyung smiled.

It was a stormy evening and a 5-year old Taehyung was found on his bedroom, covered with a big white-coloured blanket, hands on his ears and eyes closed. The only thing that scares a young Taehyung was thunder and lightning rather than a scary horror film. He didn't mind how his bruises stung him as he curled up in his bed with terror.

A struck of lightning illuminated in the room. "Aah!" He shrieked, really scared.

As the thunder continues to roar, an unexpected person came in to his bedroom. It was his mother, or shall he say, his aunt.

The young lad stares at the female figure but was terrified even more in return. He thought his mother would beat him up again.

She walked closer to him and young Taehyung shivered in horror, slight tears came out unexpectedly on his eyes. Out of character, his mother did not beat him up but instead she covered the windows with curtains hanging on a silver steel bar on the upper part of the windows. She then placed Taehyung in comfort to his bed and lulled a song for him. Taehyung was still puzzled but the lullaby calmed him down and eventually drifted him to sleep.

True, it was unexpected but one thing was for sure. Even though his mother was alot cruel than everyone thought but she's still a human, still has a heart.

"You missed that moment, didn't you?" Sihyuk asked soothingly.

Taehyung smiled plainly. "Who's son wouldn't, right? Everyone misses their parents even though how cruel they are. Well, atleast I think I would."

Silence replied Taehyung. He didn't know if his statement supposedly has an answer or not. He spoke anyway after a few moments of a defeaning silence.

"I did tried visiting her," he said, bringing up an idea which was happened the day he was gone.

"And?"

"She didn't want to see me."

BTS' DAY OFF
8 O'CLOCK

As soon as Taehyung arrived at the prison, he immediately went infront of a female officer sitting on seemed like a counter.

"May I help you sir?" The female police asked Taehyung.

"Uhm, can I visit a prisoner here? Her name is Kim ****," Taehyung replied straightly.

"Sure sir. Uhm..." the police trailed off as she arranged some documents she had been working awhile ago before Taehyung arrived at the said area. "One question first sir, may I know what's your relation to the prisoner please?"

"I'm her..." Taehyung was hesitant what he was going to say next. "I-I'm her s-son. Kim Taehyung," he continued.

"Okay sir. Follow me," the female police stood up and guided Taehyung to a place where prisoners and visitors talk. "Sit here for a few moments and please wait."

Taehyung replied a nod. Honestly, he was quite nervous facing her mother after a long time but the feeling of longing her was overpowering him.

Fortunately, Taehyung didn't wait for so long as a familiar figure sat adjacent to him.

"You have fifteen minutes," the police informed the two of them.

After that short statement, the room fell silent. No one wanted to talk.

Taehyung decided to break the silence as he spoke, "Mom-"

"Don't call me mom you filthy child!" The older female exclaimed boldly. It was harsh for Taehyung to even breathe a second. "What are you doing here?"

"I-I want to visit you-"

"I dont want your pity," Mrs. Kim replied simply.

"T-That's not-"

His mother hissed. "Go away. I dont want to see even the tiniest of your presence."

"But I missed you! M-mom... its been a long time-"

Taehyung's words was cut again. "Shut it! The feeling is not mutual and I AM NOT YOUR MOM. You're useless and thanks to you, I'll be stuck in this prison forever, wearing this yuck orange jumpsuit!"

Taehyung was hurt in her words. There was lump on his throat that making him cry any second. He should have expected this. Her words. Her harsh treatment to him. He shouldn't have visited her in the first place. He knew it was a mistake to visit his despicable gold-digger aunt. But why still he went to visit her? Was the answer still he missed her so much?

"Don't come visit me again. Your face simply wants me to puke."

That was the last sentence his mother gave to him before she left the room with the police. He didn't know what to feel or what to do next. He just sat there, feeling unable to move. His mother's words still stung his heart. He wasn't crying, he wasn't happy either.

Before he knew it, his body moved on his own as he walked away from the prison and started to wander around the streets. His pace was not fast.

Until then, he found a wrecked and an abandoned playground. He used to play here before, before his foster parents started to mistreat him. He wandered around and decided to sit on a gray-coloured stone bench.

"I understand," Sihyuk commented.

Taehyung struck a single eyebrow. "You do?" He asked.

"Tae, everyone misses their parents. It's normal. We're humans. We have emotions. We can feel sadness especially when you miss someone. Even me. I sometimes missed my parents," Sihyuk paused. "We can't do anything to stop our feelings. However, you are now an idol Tae. True, idols feel homesick too but you already entered that stage. You need to learn how to bear it. You need to learn how to manage your emotions, your feelings. If you can't stand it anymore, Bighit Family are with you. You can trust your groupmates. We are all here for you. So, don't be afraid to open up."

Taehyung fell silent. He leaned back on his chair for a second and smiled. "Thanks PD-nim. I feel better now."

Sihyuk leaned on his swivel chair, folding his arms against his chest as he smiled at the young man opposite to him. "Don't mention it."
