The timer stopped.

Eleanor was free.

"Get out El run!" I screamed.

The boys were already out.

Right as she ran out the exit another bomb went off.

I should've known.

She's not so stupid after all was she?

Then another bomb exploded.

This time the building started collapsing.

It had caught fire.

I managed to get out but I had scraped and burns all over my body.

I got out right as the building collapsed completely.

"guys help" I croaked.

Eleanor called an ambulance while the boys just stood there shocked.

My leg hurt like hell but i still walked and it didn't bother me.

We were trained for this.

Protecting other people.

They carried me to an ambulance and that's when i blacked out.

I was dying i could feel it.

I saw myself lying on the hospital bed.

Wait if that's me what am I doing?

"Evelyn dear why are you here?" my mum? Asked.

"Mum where am I?" I asked.


"You’re in-between heaven and earth. It wasn't your time to go yet. Now you can choose go back to earth with lover boy or stay here with me." she told me.


"I want to go back to lover boy how'd you know I liked him?" I asked her.

"I know everything Ev."

"he doesn't like me though" I complained to her.

"Maybe because he doesn't know the real you try making him jealous a little." she suggested.

"Maybe you'll have kids later on in life" she mumbled.

I'm pretty sure I shouldn’t have heard so i kept quiet

"time to go Evelyn." she said.

"I'll see you later mum." I told her.

I woke up to find myself in a stretcher.

Weird.

I walked up to the front Desk.

The receptionist’s eyes went wide.

"You Evelyn you're supposed to be dead. You died four days ago." she spoke.

"Say what now? I'm perfectly fine and not dead at all as you can see" I told her.

“Okay well go ahead and sign out here" she said still not believing it was me.

What was that all about?
