That night broke my heart.. watching my little girl sobbing.. crying... begging for me.... It hurt so much....

“Man, you alright.... you seem... off...” Niall asked me in his thick Irish accent.

“Yeah I’m fine.. Natalie is just upset....” I said.

“You know, we’re spending three days in Australia this week! You should fly them out....” Liam suggested.

“I know...but we decided London and US. I don't want to complicate matters for Nat, she's still so little,” I said.

“Well you should think about it,” Niall said.” I bet they'd love to have that extra time with you. It would be a fun experience for both Jen and Nattie.”

He was right about that I guess I'd ask her tomorrow,” I could always ask Jennifer tomorrow and see how she feels about that.”

“See problem solved,” he said patting me on the back.

Devon and me...whoa. When I was younger I'll admit I had a crush on him...not that I ever told anyone that EVER. He was after all my big brother's best friend and well that would not have gone well with Shane if I were to confess that. Didn't matter now...I was married.

“Next time you're out this way bring Steph with you. I'd love to talk to her and catch up,” I said.

“Deal..but til then how about catching up with me?”

“Sure,” I said with a smile,” Where are you staying?”

“Oh the Marriot Hotel,” Devon said.

“Dude, have you lost your head. You are more than welcome to stay here...we will find a place for you,” Shane said.

“Are you sure?” Devon asked.

“Absolutely... Go get your things....” Shane said. Devon nodded, smiled softly in my direction, then headed out teh door.

“Don’t do it!” Shane said, after he left.

“Do what?!” I asked.

“YOU! You’re lonely.... sad... vulnerable.. don’t do anything stupid!!!” he said.

“I won’t... Besides.. devon would never let me....” i said.

“HA! He’d fuck you in a heartbeat.... and you fucking know it!” he snapped.

‘Whatever... I WOULD NEVER!” i emphasized, before finishing my beignet and going up to bed. Me... cheat on harry.... he must have marbles loose in his head. I woke to my cell phone ringing the next morning. I answered it quietly.

“Hello?” I grumbled.

‘Hey my love.. I’m sorry i woke you... it’s 11 AM there.. what are you still doing in bed?!” he asked.

“11!!!!!!!!!!!!” I said, shooting up seeing Natalie was gone.

“NATTIE!!!!” I squealed. i bolted from m y bed and went downstairs to see her sitting with Devon coloring at the table.

“Mumma! Dev Dev!” she said, smiling at me.

“baby! Is everything alright?!” Harry asked through my phone.

“Oh yes.. I just Natalie wasn’t in bed.. but she’s down here.. coloring with Devon..” i said, softly, trying to stop my heart from pounding.

Natalie was an adorable kid, I loved kids and wanted some of my own some day but I first had to find the right woman for the job.

You'd think that it would be easy but it was far from easy and I didn't know when or if I'd ever find the woman who would become Mrs. Devon Edward Sawa.

“Dev Dev dis part,” Natalie said pointing to a part of the picture.

“Yes m'am Devon reporting for duty I will color that part to the best of my abilities m'am.”

Natalie giggled and pushed a crayon at me and I picked it up to color the portion of the picture. I glanced at Jennifer who was talking on the phone. Shane was out getting groceries for lunch, Minnie was in the laundry room. I could hear Max and Sophia wanting to get in the middle of whatever it was that she was doing in there.

“Devon?” Harry said.

“You met him at the engagement, he was at the wedding too. He's my brother's best friend.”

“Oh right blonde fellow. I didn't know he lived in Louisiana.”

“He lives in Los Angeles, he's visiting.”

“Mmm speaking of visiting. I have three days in Australia...I want to fly you and Nattie out. How does that sound?”

“Are you serious?!” I asked, excitedly.

“Very.. I miss my girls!” he said.

“YES! OF course, when?!?!?” I asked.

“You can fly out tomorrow.. meet us at teh hotel?!” he asked.

“Yes!! YES! Oh my gosh baby I’m so excited!” I squealed.

“Oh baby, hearing you so happy jsut warms my heart...” he said.

“Mmmmhmmm, and the thought of me coming to visit has nothing to do with you getting adult play time?” I giggled.

“Oh... yes I forgot about that! yes now I’m extra excited!” he chuckled.

“Oh god baby I miss you so much..” i cooed softly.

“I miss you too love.. now go on... go shopping... get ready! I’ll text you teh confirmation code once I buy teh tickets!” he said.

“Awesome! Love you baby!!” I said.

“Love you too! Can’t wait!” he said, and we said our goodbyes and hung up. i excitedly ran into the kitchen.

“NATTIE!!! We gotta go shopping!” i announced.

“Why?!” she asked.

“Because tomorrow we’re flying to see your daddy!!!” I said, smiling.

Natalie's eyes lit up,” Da Da?!” she squealed.

“you got it girly. Now how about that shopping?” I asked.

“Wets go!” Nattie said dropping her crayon and scrambling off the chair to grab my hand.

I laughed kissing her head,”Go find your shoes?” I asked. Natalie took off to go find said shoes and that left me in the kitchen with Devon, even though Minnie was just in the laundry room.

“Thank you,” I said.

“For what?” Devon asked.

“Keeping her occupied this morning.”

“I figured you could use the extra sleep,” Devon said honestly.

“i did.. thank you!” I smiled. i was so excited about thsi trip I couldn’t contain myself.
