Hailey is on the side of an abandon road, crying. She had ran away from her dad because she believes that he hates her.
Suddenly she hears a something slam on the ground. She looks up from her knees and sees a boy a few feet away from her, like he appeared out of nowhere. She runs up to him and he is moaning in pain. She hears guns firing and yelling off in the distance. She did not want to wait for whatever was coming. Looking for somewhere to hide, and she sees there is a forest off to the left of her.
Good thing that she can lift a lot of weight! Hailey picks up the boy and struggles towards the forest. She finds a hollow tree on the ground that two people can hide in. A few hours pass and she check if it is clear. Then she pulls him out of the tree to examine him.
He is unconscious and is breathing slow. Good no blood, she says to herself. He is wearing the dark-green and white striped shirt, and jeans. His hair is a long, flippy, and brown with blonde streaks. His skin is pale, almost white as snow.
"Holy cow," she says upon closer inspection. He has ivory black wings folded up against his back!
"Oh my god... I got to go get help. No, wait, I need to find somewhere to stay," she says. She looks around a little more. When she sees off in the distance an outline of a building in the fog.
"Perfect," she sighs "A creepy little house in a dark forest. Well better than nothing." She picks the boy up again and walks towards the cabin. The cabin is abandoned and over grown with vines. The inside is better than the outside though.
There is a fireplace and a dusty old couch. She drops him on the couch and goes out to get firewood. There was plenty outside that she didn't have to go far.
She walks over to the fireplace and sets the firewood inside of it. Hailey tries to start a fire and it won't light. She lets out a frustrating sigh and keeps trying over and over.
"Need some help with that," a soft voice says behind her. She whips her head around to see enchanting light blue, almost glowing, eyes staring at her.
He has woken.
