It's the day of the wedding and I'm still in my hospital bed. My hair is washed and curled perfectly cascading down to the left of my head so I don't ruin it while I lay on my back, my make up is done in a classic silver smocky look and I'm in my dress and shoes waiting for Harrison to come get me. My vail is on the chair next to me and my wolf hasn't said a word since the day of the picnic.

I pick at my freshly manicured nails, I believe Mia said it was a French tip? Mia pops her head into the room with a bright smile. She walks into the room looking radiant in her cream maxi dress and light peach make-up.

"How you holding up?" She smooths the bottom of my dress and fixes one of my shoes that was slipping off.

"I'm okay" I shrug.

"You excited?" she squeals.

I decide to tell her the truth "Not really".

Her shoulders sag and she looks at me worriedly "not really?".

"He's not my mate Mia" I explain "it feels wrong to me".

"But it's the only way to keep you alive" she grabs my hand and holds it tight.

"It's not a sure thing Mia, it's just a slightly higher chance of survival".

"I know but" her voice cracks as her eyes go glassy "but please. You need to go through with it. Give yourself the highest passiabilty of living".

I close my eyes and go against what I think I should do and slowly nod my head opening ny eyes to see Mia smiling once more.

"Thank you Aria. I'll go tell Harrison to hurry up" she wipes her eyes and leaves the room calling over shoulder with a swift "put your vail on. See you at the alter!".

I shuffle myself up the bed into a sitting position carful of my dress and hair thanking the moon goddess that the vail was in reach with me only having to lean a little to my right. Leaning my head back on the pillow I blankly stare at the ceiling thinking about what I've done with my life and how everything has lead up to this. To me marrying a man that isn't my mate just to live.

I know why they asked me to do it but.... Why?

I jump when I hear glass shattering somewhere and shake my head. I may be weak right now but I still have my hearing and it sounds like some glass in the hall the wedding is in has fallen and shattered. Maybe Sam wanted to help, got nervous and dropped something. Sounds like something he'll do.

I jump again when more glass breaks and something wooden smashes making a domino effect as more stuff gets broken loudly. I going into a panic when I hear screams start to ring out followed by hundreds of running feet most likely trying to get away from what's happening.

A fight?

No

We're under attack.

I can't defend myself in my condition, in the first five seconds I'll be dead. Deciding to hide I try to hold back years as the screaming gets louder and more desperate. With a lot of difficulty I swing my legs off the bed and edge my way to the desk across the room where an air vent is. One big enough to his me. Using the bed as a support I'm about 8 feet when my legs give out resulting in me crumbling to the floor with a sob. Oh god what if Mia gets hurt? Or worse killed?

Crawling to the vent I pry the metal gate open since it's left un-screwed for this exact reason and climb in making sure my vail and dress is fully in before placing the grate back. Since I'm in such a cramped space I wrap my arms around my legs and rest my chin on my knees. I quickly slap a hand to my mouth when the room door is kicked in. That was abit unnecessary.
