chapter 21

The zoo was fun. Other then when we lost Kai and found him stuck and crying in a snake enclosure. Have no idea how he got in there and neither do the staff but after apologizing profusely we left quickly after. We're now strolling through a mall going from shop to shop. Kai so far got himself a new pair of shoes, Beck got a few blocks of lumber to carve while Clark and I found matching mother and daughter clothes.

"So what do we do now?" Kai asks grabbing Clarks hand in his much larger one.

"We can go to the movies" Beck suggests but I shake my head.

"The Cinderella remake doesn't start untill 7" I say "we can head to the play cafe untill it closes at five then go to macdonalds and walk to the movies. It's just a five minute walk from there".

"Yay nuggets!" Clark shouts happily getting a few glances and smiles from passing strangers.

"Inside voice sweety" Beck tells her then turns to me "sounds good although I think they've had enough unhealthy food for the rest of the week".

I nod in agreement. If Kai was paying any attention to the conversation he would of protested he hadn't had enough and try and eat more which would end up making him sick. I notice Beck glance behind us quickly before facing forward once more sweeping the area ahead for some sort of threat.

"You okay?" I ask.

He seems slightly taken aback maybe from the fact I noticed his actions when he's what I assume is his thought of 'sneakily' scoping out tge place. "Yes, everythings fine".

Lier my wolf scrowls a little at our dark haired mate.

Something is clearing wrong I agree with her.

He shouldn't lie to us she growls we are his mate and he should tell us when something is wrong.

Agreeing with my wolf I feel my face contort into a hard cold eyed stare "don't lie to me Beck" I snap "something is clearly wrong so tell me" I demand.

After what feels like an hour which it most likely wouldn't be more then 20 seconds of silent staring at each other I walk on ahead grabbing Clarks other arm lifting her up and swing her with the help of Kai.

He can't keep everything to himself I say to my wolf as I smile down and my pup what if it has something to do with the packs safety? I ask.

He would of told Kai or Kai would of already known and he doesn't keep anything from us my wolf reasons.

What if Clark isn't safe at the pack? I feel my heart constrict and the mere thought of Clark getting hurt. She's my pup and as her mother I can't let her get hurt.

Calm down before you start losing control I push all bad thoughts away and feel my body relax. Let's not jump to conclusions. We don't want to accidentally scare Clark. If things look bad I'm sure Mia and Harrison can look after her untill things settle down.

We're dead.

We forgot to tell Mia and Harrison we have a pup.

Oh shit you're on you'r own.

Fuck you I thought we were partners.

Death do us part babygirl and you'll certainly be dead when Mia finds out you didn't tell her straight away.

She wouldn't kill me....... Would she?

I hope my next partner doesn't die in such a stupid way like you.
