I STILL couldn't sleep. My mind couldn't stop thinking of random thoughts. I already recited the numbers from 1-100 but it didn't work.

I went out of the tent. The cold air entered into my body, so I grabbed my hoodie. All the passengers were already sleeping. There were still some tourists wandering around the resort. Some were talking near the shore and some were in the bar.

There w a smoking area a few meters from the campsite. I was the only person when I got there. I pulled one cigarette from my pocket and lighted it using the resort's free lighter. I felt peace and satisfaction. My mind was no longer thinking of random thoughts and was now relaxing.

A guy showed up and lighted up his cigarette. He seemed very familiar. He was actually the guy who talked to me earlier. African American. He pointed me using his empty pack of cigarette.

"Never thought you would smoke. You look like a decent one," he said. His words weren't clearly said because he was bitting his cigarette but I understood what he said.

If only I could tell him that I wasn't as decent as he thought. I was the opposite. I exhaled the smoke and inhaled again.

"Not all decent is actually decent. Besides, there are decent men who smoke," I uttered. His mouth twisted and nodded as if it was an important thing to remember. I reached my face to know if I was wearing my sunglasses and good thing I didn't forget it.

"Where are you headed by the way?" he asked. His eyes were glued on his lighter which he was fidgeting.

"To the city. It is where we live," I answered. I was being careful about giving such personal information to him. "How about you?"

He took a deep breath before answering. "Hospital. My sister's been there for days. We actually live in Town 3 and life there isn't easy."

As I had observed, he was indeed right. I was kind of an indifferent person but something inside me was curious about his sister's condition.

"What happened to her?" I asked. The atmosphere became heavy. He took another cigarette and lit it.

"A rare eye disease that has still no name. There's still no cure. I'm afraid she's going to lose her eye anytime."

I stopped for a second. I would lie to myself if I wouldn't think that we had the same condition. The only difference was she's still suffering while I was saved. Though, I was actually still suffering, but not because of the eye disease.

"Earlier this morning, I received a text from my uncle who was taking care of my sister in the hospital. He said that the disease has been spreading all over her body. And the only way to stop is eye transplant," he added. Desperation. I could feel his pain.

"Who's her doctor?" My question was weird but I knew what I was doing.

"Dr. Hendre. Carl Wang Hendre. He offered to be her doctor or surgeon what do you call it. We're still finding for a donor."

He pulled something from his pocket. It was his phone. He gestured it towards me. I registered my number in there.

"If ever you guys couldn't find any donor, just contact me. Also, if someone is willing to donate, inform me too," I said.

That night, I was doubting if I would warn him and tell him about my past. But in the end, we bid each other goodbyes and went to sleep. Then, we woke up early in the morning because we have to arrive in the city early in the morning.

"Where have you been last night?" Orlstein suddenly asked. It took me a second before I could reply.

"Inside the tent? Sleeping?"

She raised her eyebrow like she was expecting another answer. I thought she knew what I did last night. I looked for Hendre's files.

"Sleeping while smoking? Or smoking while sleeping?" she asked. Her mouth twisted and raised her eyebrows.

I felt relieved when she didn't know that I touched her things last night. The automobile came and when we got inside the bus, we immediately hit the road.

The sun had already risen above the horizon when we arrived. The apartment's door was opened. The lights were also turned on.

"Neo?" Orlstein called. It smelled awful. There were ten bottles of beer on the table. Some were on the floor. Neo was wet and smelled alcohol. What the heck was he doing?

"Get up!" I growled. I kicked his ass and he looked like an old wet rug. I kicked him once again but he just puked. I grabbed his shirt and forced him to stand.

"Get up or I'll kill you!" I warned. My teeth gritted and I stared at him. I used my sunglasses so it wasn't dangerous.

He smirked and acted as if he was scared. "Do it! You already killed Auren and our parents, so what's the matter?"

My eyes widened. Who did the heck tell him? He only knew about Auren! But why?

"And who told you that? About Auren, I didn't do it on purpose!" I held his shirt tighter than before.

He shrugged. "Rumors? Yesterday, I was walking down the 5th block when a stranger talked to me. Crazy but I like it."

He was still drunk. He even sounded like a drug addict. I punched his face with my bare hand. His nose started to bleed and he even tried to get away from me.

"Who is that person?" I asked. It was almost a whisper. I could smell the alcohol from his breath but it didn't matter anymore.

"Woah. Chill man. You're definitely guilty. That was just a joke," he blurted. I clenched my fist and punched the wall. My knuckles were bleeding.

If only he's not my brother, then his body was already cold. A lifeless one. I dropped him and he stumbled on the floor.

"Could you guys please stop?" Orlstein interrupted. She was already mad. "Neo, drinking simultaneously can't bring Auren back! Don't kill yourself! You're even starting to become a lunatic."

I didn't expect her to say it. We didn't dare to say a word. He stood up and walked passed me. But before he left, he whispered something to me.

"My life was better when the two of you weren't here."
