I jolted awake when I felt the bed dipped. I tried to open my eyes but my body didn't obey. I inhaled the scent of the person and I immediately recognized that it was Kris. Only that he had a strange smell stuck to his shirt. When my senses finally kicked in, I realised it was the smell of alcohol. I felt him kiss the side of my cheek and slid down next to me.
My mind was still a little fuzzy to think properly. I decided to let it go and ask him about it tomorrow. I didn't want to cause any misunderstandings especially when we just got together. Are we really in a relationship now? I didn't get to ask him to be mine and he didn't agree on anything. He only said that he loved my back. People always said that agreement is really important in a successful relationship.
As I turned to face him, he pulled me closer and snuggled into my chest. A sign of reassurance that never fails to calm me down. I fell asleep almost immediately as I pulled him into a tight embrace, making me forget my worries.
