I woke up in the bed of my rustic apartment. It was small sure, but I preferred to call it homey.
I stared into my mirror. My long dark blue hair hung to my waist, my pale blue skin fitted perfectly to my slim frame. Turquoises were known for looking similar to Pearls. We were basically Pearls with longer hair and a bit thicker. I began wondering what to wear. Most gems wore the same thing every day, but I though that was boring, it was more fun to change it up each day, and it made me seem more human. I settled on high waisted jean shorts and a low cut dark blue sweater, completed by a pair of dark blue converse shoes.
I essentially danced out of my apartment, humming and bouncing around. I felt like today was going to be a good day. On my way to beach city I felt someone watching me. I looked around several times before I finally saw something. It was her, Hematite. Her shoulder length black hair that framed her gem on her forehead was covered by her cloaks hood, her charcoal black eyes looked at me with malice. Her grey skin was complimented by the skin tight black crop top and skirt underneath her silver lined cloak. She stalked over to me, her Garnet sized frame towering over me as I was frozen in fear, her laugh sending a shiver down my spine.
"You thought you could run from me? You though Earth would protect you? You though I wouldnt FIND YOU?" She scolded, her voice booming as she got dangerously close.
She grabbed my wrist tightly as I struggled to escape her grasp.
"You're nothing. You're a defective Turquoise, I should bring you back to homework and have them persercute you right now. And yet... I won't." She said, grabbing my wrist so tight I felt it might bruise.
She threw me to the paved road, tower over my body as I tried to back away from her. I summoned my daggers as she summoned her bow and walked towards me, making menacing gestures.
I finally got back to my feet and she ran at me. I threw several daggers, praying one would hit, none did, and the ones that wouldve were deflected. I didn't want to, but I knew I had to... I outstreched my hands towards her as sound waves surged out and physically knocked her back, letting out a loud noise similar to that of an explosion. They left a loud ringing in my ears, but the extra bit of distance was well worth it.
She clutched her head and screamed out in frustration. I saw my vision darken as a black cloud surrounded me. I held my mouth shut and nose closed, knowing if I breathed in, she'd have control. I heard a voice from outside the cloud.
"Come on. Breathe. You know you'll have to eventually." Hematite taunted.
She was right. But I still refused. Maybe if I held my breath long enough I could fake passing out and get her to give up. Before I could do anything though, I felt a swift kick to me stomach. The shock forced a gasp out of me. I watched in terror as the mist forced itself down my throat, holding me paralyzed where I was.
"Do you know how much trouble I'm in because of you? They didnt want me to come find you, they wanted me to just abandon you! I disobeyed them to make sure you were okay. And this is the thanks I get?!" She asked, walking up to me.
"I-" I began to try and talk but the mist made it excrusiatingly hard.
"I didn't ask for this you know. You left me no choice. You wouldve killed me if I didnt do something. I love you... you know that." She said, getting uncomftorable close to me.
"Im only doing this because I dont want to hurt you. I dont want to fight you, restraining you is the best I can do right now. I cant bare seeing you hurt." She continued, unsummoning her weapon.
"Turquoise... if I let you go, you have to promise not to fight me." She said, looking quite hurt by the fact I'd even tried fighting her in the first place.
