"Fine. Its not that interesting though." I said, humbly looking down.
"Yes it is! Now tell us tell us tell us!!" Steven yelled.
"Fine. It was a normal day on Homeworld, like any other, following around my gem, blue diamond, and assisting her Pearl and her in tasks..."
Storytime
I was running errands blue Pearl had given me when I was summoned by blue diamond. I entered her room timidly, scared I was being punished. She saw me and... she smiled.
"You're going on a mission. I'm sending you to go map out more galaxies. Report back when youve found something new." She said, handing me a rusty looking key to a ship.
"My diamond, thank you, so much." I said, grinning.
"Before you go, come here." She said quietly as she lifted me to her shoulder.
"I know you hate it here Turquoise."-

"Wait, you TALKED to blue diamond? Like, had a conversation?" Pearl asked in astonishment.
"Pearl, your interrupting, and yes. I talked to her a lot, often. She cares about her subjects, it might be hard to believe, but she really does. Anyways... as I was saying-"
"Wait, she CARED about you?" Amethyst butted in.
"Yes-"
"And she let you speak? Out of turn?"
"Yes."
"Did she like, brainwash you to think she cared though?" Amethyst said.
"No, she didn't brainwash me! I know you guys don't want to believe it but she was nice to me! And when she wasn't, she just wasnt aware she was being rude!" I said.
"But-but the diamonds arent nice, they have no mercy a-and" Pearl began.
"The diamonds have mercy, blue diamond excpecially. You guys need to stop thinking of them as two dementional characters, they're people! They have their good and bad sides. Now can I continue my story?" I asked, kind of annoyed with everyone's questions.
"Yes, of course." Pearl said.
"Thankyou."

"I'm giving you a ship. Its unregistered, nobodys going to notice if it goes missing." She said quietly.
"B-but my diamond. I can't-" I began before she shushed me.
"You can do whatever you want. White Diamonds been insufferable lately, and I know you've felt her wrath through my orders. Its not right... and... I'm sorry. There's a planet called earth, the ship has directions to it, theres people there and you can make a new life for youself, just go. Get out while you can, as far as I know, your ship crashed in a terrible collision with some meteorites and you were poofed. Okay?" She said, winking with a smile.
"Thank you so much, my diamond." I said, barely able to contain my excitement.
She just looked at me with a bittersweet smile as she lowered me to the ground and I ran off to the ship.
I left homework without a hitch, but when I got to earth was when the real problems started. Everybody feared me, and it took an extremely long time to adjust. I had to change my clothes, learn how to hide my gem, and made up a human name. I wandered for years, I initially landed in beach city, but I left after a while and went backpacking around the world. I even went to Empire City! But this places charm'll always draw me back.

"Thats about it. There really isn't anything else. I told you it wasn't that interesting." I said.
"Thats cool!" Steven said, staring at me.
"So, you talked to blue diamond? Did you talk to her often?" Pearl asked, pricing me with questions.
"Yeah actually, I'd always have conversations with her. She was amazing." I said, smiling politely.
After answering several of the same questions the gems began growing a bit disinterested in interrogating me about what Blue Diamond was like. I was genuinely glad and I left to go hang out with the rest of the party guests.
By the time I left the 'temple' as the gems insisted I called it, most of the guests had left. The only people left outside were Lars and Sadie. I saw them across the beach. My heart fluttered as I began to walk up to Lars, before I stopped in my tracks. They weren't talking like I'd originally assumed. They were full on making out. My hand flew to my mouth as I began to slowly back up. I let out a small involuntary noise and sprinted into the cabin. I slammed the door behind me and immediately got strange looks from the gems.
"Hey, what's wrong-" Steven began to ask before I sprinted past them and into the bathroom, slamming that door too, and locking it.
I slid to my knees with my back against the door. What did I just see? Why did I even go outside? Did I like Lars? I felt like I did. But I didn't want to. Should I have liked Lars? How long were him and Sadie a thing? Why didnt he tell me? Are they a thing?
Questions ran through my mind as I pulled myself to my feet and walked to the mirror. I stood in front of it, clutching the sink sides and staring silently into the mirror except for a few hiccups and sobs that found their way out. I made a silent promise to myself. I was never going to let anyone get close enough to hurt me. I was never going to care about anyone enough to let it get to me. And with that in mind, I wiped my eyes, straightened my face, and exited the bathroom. Steven was standing by the door.
"Are you-" he began to ask the inevitable.
"I'm fine." I said coldly, walking over to the couch I often spent my nights on.
"I'm just tired." I finished, climbing under a blanket and squeezing my eyes shut.
"Oh. Okay." Steven said, walking up to his bedroom and watching TV shows.
