Turquoise (Lars x Reader)

Party

I walked into the donut shop, seeing Lars and Sadie and instantly smiling a bit wider.

"Hey, guys." I said smiling

Lars fell to the ground with a thump, of course he was sleeping on the job again. Sadie, on the other hand, just shot me smile. I'd recently talked it out with Sadie, and she forgave me. Neither of them could really fully understand gem stuff, but they did their best.

"Alright, this is a big order..." I warned as I approached the counter.

"You know I can do it." Sadie said, smiling back at me.

"Alright. Three chocolate donuts, two peanut donuts, five plain, four pink frosted, three jelly filled, and one chocolate glazed." I said as Sadie rushed around grabbing to donuts.

"What're all the donuts for?" Lars inquired.

"I'm throwing a surprise party for Pearl. You and Sadie should come!" I revealed.

"Why? I thought you and Pearl didn't like each other?" Lars inquired.

"We didn't, I think. But we worked past that and I want to do something special for her to let her know I appreciate her working past that with me. There's going to be fancy music, and streamers, and thost little circle lantern light thingeys, and food, I know Pearl doesnt like to eat, but I'm inviting some people too so it wouldnt be polite not to put out food. Oh-OH! And there'll be champagne, and-" I began to ramble.

"(Y/n), youre rambling again." Lars commented.

I looked at him and laughed a bit.

"Sorry, I'm just a little excited." I said, laughing a bit more.

"Obviously." He stated, chuckling a bit.

After leaving with the supplies I went back to the cabin and immediately started setting up. Pear was out with Garnet and Amethyst for the rest of the day doing some gem stuff, and Steven stayed behind to help me set up.

"I'm really glad you're doing this for her." Steven said as he set up the chairs and tables on the beach.

"Really? I just hope she likes it..." I said nervously as I started hanging the white and pastel blue streamers.

"Is the blue too much?" I asked, curious if the color scheme would work out.

"No, its perfect. And I'm sure shell love it!" Steven said smiling.

I smiled back at him softly.

(Btw, the inspiration is basically this but with light blue lanterns too and white and light blue streamers.)

After an hour or so me and Steven had set everything up.

"Streamers? Check. Lanterns? Check. Tables? Check. Donuts? Check. Drinks? Check. Pizzas? Tripple check. Music? Steven! Music?" I double checked that everything was ready.

Steven started playing music off the speakers I'd bought just for this occasion.

"Check." I said, satisfied.

I looked further down the beach and noticed Lars and Sadie.

"Hey!" I yelled, waving my arm frantically in the air once they looked my way.

Sadie laughed and Lars just facepalmed. Either way, they headed over my way.

"Wheres everyone else?" Lars asked, referring to the lack of guests.

"They should be here any minute."

On cue, Ronaldo started walking down to the beach, followed by Sour Cream, Buck, and Jenny. They all greeted me and went on to socializing and just hanging out.
