Chapter 2

Maria's POV

When I woke up the next morning I notice Jeremy wasn't in his crib next to my bed. So I started to panic and cry. I looked over to the other side of my bed and he wasn't there. I look in his car seat, he wasn't there either. So I ran out to the living room.

Then I saw Jack with him and he was feeding Jeremy's morning bottle.

Jack's POV

When I woke up to go to the bathroom I heard crying coming from Maria's room. So I quickly used the restroom then I snuck into Maria's room. She didn't stir at the sound of the baby crying. She must be really tired. So I grabbed the dipper bag and little Jeremy and went out into the living room.

I checked my phone for the time and notice it was 7 in the morning. I opened up the dipper bag and notice there was a note inside saying how to make the bottle. So I did what the instructions said. When it was all done I checked and see if it was the right temp. and I sat down on the couch in the living room.

A few minutes later I saw a panicked Maria come out into the living room. But when she saw me, she immediately calmed down. She sat down next to me and held Jeremy's little hand. "My parents are at work. And I was also wondering if you would like to go out on a date with me?" "Um... What about Jeremy?" "My sister is a quick phone call away." "Alright I'll go out with you." I quickly grabbed my phone and texted my sister.

Me: Hey I got a question for u

Sista #2: what's up lil bro?

Me: can u babysit for a girl I'm takin out tonight?

Sista #2: sure what's her address?

Me: she's staying with me, mom, and dad

Sista #2: okay! :)

"My sister says she can watch Jeremy for us tonight." "alright I guess I'm going out on a date with you tonight Mr. Gilinsky." I finished feeding and burping Jeremy then I handed him over to Maria so I can take a shower.

Maria's POV

After Jack handed me Jeremy I went back to my room to get ready for my date. I closed and locked my door and I laid Jeremy down in his crib. I went into the bathroom attached to my room and I left the door open. I showered and when I got out I choose my TFIOS tank top, skinny jeans, black vans, and a grey beanie. I hope it's a causal place because I didn't bring a whole lot of dressy clothes.

I decided to write out information about Jeremy. 'He eats every two hours on the hour. His last bottle was at five o'clock this evening. So he will need to be fed at 7 and 9. Hopefully we'll be back after 9. Change his diaper 20 minutes after the bottle. After the 7 o'clock bottle try to keep him awake. After the 9 o'clock bottle change his diaper 15 minutes later then put him in his pajamas (they are on the changing table) and lay him down on his stomach. I don't have a baby monitor so check on him often.' After I finished writing the stuff out I laid out his pajamas.

*around 6 o'clock*

"Hey Maria! My sister's here!" I heard Jack yell. "I'm coming!" I walked out into the living room and I saw Jack talking with his sister. "Hi I'm Maria and this little guy is Jeremy." Referring to Jeremy who is in my right arm. "Nice to meet you Maria. I'm Molly, Jack's older sister." "Yeah I kinda guessed that. Well I wrote out all the information that you will need plus my cell number." "Ok! You guys go and have a good time."

"Let me open that door for you" Jack said as he ran towards shotgun. "Thank you." He ran around the front of the car and got in the driver's set. "So where are we going?" I asked. "I was thinking we would go for a causal picnic by the lake." "Then why didn't we go out into your backyard?" "It isn't romantic enough plus it's loud with all the neighbors."

We drove a little bit up the road to a local park. We got out and Jack got out a basket and a couple of blankets out of the back of the car. "Hey Jim! The park's cleared right?" Jack yelled to a guy sitting in an concession stand. "Yeah. All cleared!" The dude yelled back. "Alright Maria, let's have our date and a park to ourselves."

Jim's POV

I got on my phone. "Yeah boss your right. She is here."
