Chapter 3

Jack's POV

I love hanging out with Maria. She is sweet and kind. Oh shoot! It's almost nine I say to myself when I check my phone really quick. "Hey Maria you ready to head home? It's getting a little late." "Yeah. Let's head home Jack." We headed out of the park and to my car. "Maria?" "Yes?" "Can I ask you a question?" "Yeah. Anything Jack." "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Maria' POV

Those words ring in my head "Will you be my girlfriend?" I seriously had to think this through. Not only because I just meet him the other day on a plane. No, it's because I have a son to worry about. There is no doubt in my mind that Jack would make a good father to Jeremy. I just don't want him popping in and out.

"Jack. I will be your girlfriend. Just promise me this, don't leave me. " "I will never leave you Maria."

We headed home and I notice the clouds getting darker. I think Jack noticed too. "Jack we need to get home now!" "I'm on it Maria. Call my sister to get the supply kit to the basement and also include a bunch of our clothes and some of Jeremy's stuff."

I dialed Molly's number. "Please pick up. Please pick up. Hey Molly! It's Maria. Jack wants me to tell you to get the supply kit into the basement with some of our clothes and Jeremy's stuff. Ok thanks see you in a few. Bye." I hung up my phone. "What's going on with the weather?" I asked Jack.

"This is the first time this happened since me and Jack were little kids. But a storm is forming on the lake and it could turn into a tornado or not. But no matter what it will cause a lot of damage to houses on the lake. But from the looks from these clouds it shouldn't be bad but there will be damage."

We were running into the house because it was pouring rain. "I moved everything downstairs. I pulled out the couch bed , there is two queen size mattress, and there is about twenty pillows and blankets down there too. The only thing that I didn't grab was personal items." "Ok thanks Molly. Now go downstairs, we'll be down there in a minute." Jack said.

I ran into my room and grabbed a couple of personal items. A necklace that my dad gave me and a family photo. Then Jack busted into my room. "Give me a hand real quick with this." He said. I wonder why he is soaking wet. "Alright what do you want me to do?" Next thing I knew I was hanging up a tarp over the windows in my room.

I grabbed my stuff with the sound of thunder and lighting. "Jack? Jack? Where are you?" I said running around the kitchen looking for him. Next thing is I was pulled into the doorway of the basement. I gave him a quick hug and peck on the cheek then ran downstairs.

When I walked into main area not only I saw Molly and Jeremy but Jack too. "Johnson what are you doing here?" I asked him sitting down on the pull out couch and grabbing Jeremy from Molly. "I was on my way home form hanging out with a couple friends when the storm hit. I knew I was always welcomed at Jack's house so I decided to come here instead of making that extra two minute drive down the road to my house."

Jack came downstairs in some sweatpants and tee shirt saying "I called my parents and your parents Jack. Yours where ok with you staying with us until the storm passes and mine are staying with my other sister." He sat down next to me when lighting striked again. Then Jeremy started to cry. I got up and walked him around the room for a little bit until he fell back asleep. I laid him down in his crib and took my seat next to Jack.

Jack Johnson's POV

I was coming home from Sam's house when I notice the clouds getting darker. Crap! I'm too far away from home, I guess I'll just go to Jack's house. I parked my car in the driveway and grabbed everything valuable out including my backpack with extra clothes. I ran up to the door and when I knocked Molly opened the door holding Jeremy in her arms.

"Hey Molly can I come in? I don't think I'll make it down to my house before the storm starts." I asked her. "Sure come on in. Now I have someone to give me a hand with this stuff." I tossed my book bag down the stairs and helped Molly get everything ready. "So where is Jack and Maria?" "They went out on a date. They should be home soon. Hopefully."

I was in Jack's room getting him some clothes when I heard Molly's cell phone go off. "Hello? Hey Maria, what's up? Ok I'm working on it as we speak. Bye. That was Maria and Jack. They are on their way." I walked out into the living room and into the basement. Molly joined me a minute latter with Jeremy and some of Maria's clothes.

Even more rain came down with crashes of thunder and lightning. We heard the door opened so Molly put Jeremy down in his crib and went upstairs. I heard Molly talking but I don't know what she was saying so I just sat down on one of the many couches Jack has in his basement. I prayed that Jeremy wouldn't start crying on me. Then Molly came back downstairs as Jeremy started to cry.

She managed to get him to calm down then next thing I knew someone was coming downstairs. "Johnson what are you doing here?" Maria asked me sitting down on the pull out couch and grabbing Jeremy from Molly. "I was on my way home form hanging out with a couple friends when the storm hit. Just then the sirens start to go off.

Storms are a brewing for Jack and Maria. In case you haven't notice I changed the title of the book. Soon the other guys of Magcon will be joining Jack and Maria. Each boy will have their own separate book but each of them will be appearing in every book. So I hope you like it! Stay Happy!! :)
