.I got up unusually early the next day and looked around my room.
My luggage stood at one corner all ready to be taken.
I pulled the blinds making the sun hit my face. I leaned on the sill taking a deep breath.
I thought about the task ahead and got ready to leave.
As I came downstairs, Gabrielle came trotting with milk all smudged around her mouth.Don't even ask me, she must have spilled some on the floor . I found Gabrielle in a park where she was left deserted in an empty box which had a note that read "mind to take this kitten?".It was cold and a tiny creature like her wouldn't have survived if left all alone out there. I felt pity on her and took her over. And that was good cz then I could get a company rather than being the only one in the house.
I asked her to be nice while I was away, and submitted her to Mrs. Baron ,my neighbour and headed to my car .
I drove to the airport where I parked my car and went inside. My colleagues where waiting for me already. Only one of the colleagues was missing. It was Donggeon as usual. She was late for every single thing.
I was done loading my luggage and was just waiting when the news channel abruptly turned on .
The news showed the tattered remains of the body of a girl who was sliced into several pieces. The image was blur ofcourse. As expected it was a murder in Tokyo.
".........was found dead near the bank of kagaya river with her body sliced like meat."
"It was found that the girl was sliced by a SANTOKU!!"
I felt like puking, just reading the headlines.
" HELLAAA!!" someone screamed in my ear as I almost freaked out . I turned around to see the ever smiling Donggeon with a grin upto her ear. Stan and Zac came over with a bunch of snacks for us to eat on the plane. It was a direct flight and we didn't wanna waste our money in buying food in the flight which you know is very expensive.
Few minutes later, I and my colleagues boarded the flight.

The flight arrived at our destination .
We moved into the airport and waited for our luggage to be thrown audaciously on the conveyer belt.
A lot of people surrounded the belt and it was hard to spot my luggage. I pushed past several people and finally got my luggage. My colleagues were waiting for theirs while I just sat there on a nearby chair reading the details of the murder. One thing I got to find was that the murderer uses a santoku. It's gonna be hard as almost entire Japan has atleast one santoku in their houses.Considering the way he/she had killed the victims, he probably might be a psychopath. No human would be that grim to slice someone like raw meat.
Soon as I enter the city , I'm gonna be meeting few of the victims' family members and see if I can get anything.
As I was already making plans, I got a call from my boss.
" Meghan, have you four landed?"
"Yeah , just a few minutes back sir"
"Good , the financial company you'll be working in has sent their secretary to pick you guys up. She'll be wearing a black suit and blue jeans. Your work will be starting from tomorrow and as for your stay, your gonna have to find it yourself."
Great , we're gonna have to spend half of our money on rent.

My boss hung up and after a few minutes which seemed like an hour, my colleagues returned with their luggages all set to exit.
I told them what boss had said and how he asked us to pay for stay.
Donggeon said that her aunt lives in Tokyo and she'd arrange for the stay .
Though Donggeon has her native in Tokyo , she moved out with her parents when she was just three . But few of her family members still stay here which is a plus for us.
We headed towards the exit when suddenly we met with a man who seemed to be in his mid thirties. His blue eyes and dark brown hair made him look much younger. He asked us whether we were residents of Tokyo and we answered negatively . He further went on to ask us from where we were coming from. We didn't know who the guy was and answering to his questions might cause trouble. We tried to ignore him but he followed us behind.
He was carrying a duffel bag and loaded luggage. He didn't stop following us until zac informed him to one of the airport staffs. No sooner had he said to the staff..........the guy was gone.
We brushed it off and went on towards the exit. It was already getting dark and from there I could see how beautiful Tokyo was with all it's busy streets and fantastic lights .
The wind rushed through the exit making me pull my jacket closer.
I stepped outside and took a huge breath.
