My heart was beating faster than ever; not something I'm used to. I didn't know to control it. Every second felt like hell. The least I could do was 'pray'; pray that this was a nightmare, a nightmare which would be over soon. But the stinging feeling in my stomach reminded me now and then, that this was reality and I was heading towards it.

The street lights brushed past me and the chill breeze blew across my face. It was a perfect night. But here I am heading towards something I never wanted. All the memories flashed before me as my eyes welled up. My breathing got faster and faster. We didn't come here to see this.....

"Zac, go get the door", my mother screamed.

Zac got off from the couch and opened the door.

"Ah... Mr. Derrick, please come in", Zac said moving aside paving way for the old man to step in.

The man came in and took his seat on the couch.

"It's been a while...", the man sighed.
Zac took a seat in front of the man and nodded.

"Did u guys really quit the job?", the man asked not looking up.

          ".........Yea....we did".

The man sighed again.

He then got up from the seat and disappeared into the kitchen.

I stare at my reflection in the mirror for a few minutes before I finally felt ready. I pull up the zip of my skirt and smoothen it's surface.

My legs automatically take  me to the living room which was now crowded and noisy.

I stare at the room standing alone at one corner of the house. It was dimly lit and the figure of a female sitting on the bed was visible from the tiny gap between the door and the wall. Her gown was laced and her hair pulled up into a bun. I knocked on the door.

"Come in", she said turning around.

I walk around the room slowly and take my place in front of the bed. I then reach out my hand and said

        "you ready?".

She smiled and took my hand.

"Yea", came out of her mouth.

The smile that used to fill her face before was no more. Now all that remained was a pale face and it's features.

"Meghan, they're calling", Zac came running.

"we'll be there", I said as I held her hands and took her outside. All  eyes were on us as we made our way into the clearing. They started calling out names one by one.

      "Donggeon. Donggeon Smith".

The girl next to me clenched my palm more firmly. I took it out and pushed her slightly to go in front. She walked slowly, her body trembling with every step. She then knelt down and closed her eyes. The smiling face in the frame was making me mad. Now it was all stuffed in the coffin. A single tear dropped from my eyes followed by more. Donggeon touched the top of the coffin and weeped her heart out.
The scene was right in front of my eyes again. The terrible thing that happened....

I get out of the cab and run through the dark pathway. It was an old park near the company. I search around swiftly but spot nothing. At last, at the farthest corner of the park, there was a single streetlight which was broken and that part was illuminated only by the light of the moon. My senses told me to run there though my legs were hesitant.
