Trapped

'Being alone sucks.'

I pulled out of his arms and he opened the door. we were met with the quiet bustle of the BAU. Spencer led me out into the office working space. he kept walking and finally led me down into Garcia's office. he opened the door, and I peered inside at a dark, yet colorful, room full of computer screens as technology.

"Go ahead, Caroline." I was pushed inside and the lady turned around in her chair. she beamed at me and held her arms out.

"I've been waiting! oh, we're going to have so much fun. I have board games, movies, snacks and-"

I had the nerve to giggle.

"What? Do you not like games and movies?" Penelope seemed disturbed.

"No, it's not that. I'm just wondering why you went all out. Is there someone else coming?" I involuntarily stepped back, into Spencer's arms. He rubbed his hands up and down my arms.

"What? no, I was only expecting you." Garcia looked at Spencer, and I felt him shrug.

"Caroline," Spencer's voice filled my ears, and I leaned into him. "Garcia is really excited to keep you safe for me. will you please stay?"

I turned to look at him. "I want to go with you."

"Caroline, you can't. it's too dangerous." he wrapped his arms around my quivering body. "I don't want you to get hurt."

I whimpered and wrapped my arms around his torso. I squeezed him tightly, to the point where I heard him grunt, trying to breathe. "don't leave me," I murmured into his chest.

He stroked my hair and hugged me tightly. "i'm coming back. I promise."

I pull back and look at his face, eyes red rimmed and puffy. I nodded slowly. "promise?" he leaned down and pressed his lips gently to my hair. "I promise."

I looked and him and forced a smile. "I believe you. Be safe." I pulled his head down and kissed his cheek. he stood up with a red face, and a goofy smile.

"Have fun with Garcia, Caroline." and with that, he was gone.

'Being alone sucks,' I though before I caught myself staring at the door. I turned around to face the table Penelope had set up. "I say snacks first," I smiled as I sat down.
