i wish my mother would realise that a woman never needed a man to fill the empty parts of her as if she was nothing but a jigsaw puzzle only destined to wait.
every time she cowered away from his rage, she was never aware how just like the sun she could light up the whole world and have it beg for mercy when burnt down.
i wish my mother would realise she never needed the validation her twelve year old self was taught to seek.
