Catherine's POV:

A week

It has been a week since I told the boys my story.

A week since I told Liam that he was my mate.

A week of him ignoring me.

I tried to give him space, knowing that he needed to get used to the idea, but how much more time did he need?

As we grew further apart, Flame and Harry's relationship got stronger by the day.

And I was jealous.

Why couldn't my mate accept me like Harry accepted Flame. Why can't he give us a chance. Why did he stop talking to me. Every time I entered a room he would leave due to my presence

It hurt.

It hurt even more as I watched Flame and Harry from my spot in the living room.

Their heads were bent close together as they talked. He whispered something in her ear and she threw her head back laughing. He looked at her with adoration and a smile on his face, content at making her laugh. Harry brushed some of her hair away and tucked it behind her ear, his fingers lingering on her cheek before before he removed them. If Flame was a human, no doubt she would be blushing. 

They were the cutest couple I had ever seen. But a part of me still wished that Liam and I were like that.

I sighed as I headed upstairs to go to my room. The couple not noticing my absence as they were too engrossed in each other.

I felt my head smack into a muscled chest. Looking up I saw that it was Liam.

Our eyes held contact for a few moments before we quickly looked away. I walked around him and was heading back in the direction of room when a strong grip on my wrist stopped me from moving.

"Wait, Cat" Liam said as he removed his hand from my wrist and started to scratch the back of his neck nervously.

"Tomorrow's your birthday right?" he asked. Noticing my confused look he quickly added "Demetrius told me."

I nodded, "Yeah, it is my birthday tomorrow,"

He nodded before exhaling deeply and stared at me. "W-well, uhm, I was j-just wondering i-if,"

"Yes?" I asked, urging him to continue.

"I-i was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me tomorrow night?" he quickly asked.

I stared at him for a couple of moments. Was this real? Was he really asking me out?

Noticing my silence his face fell slightly, "I know that I have been ignoring you for the past couple of days, and I'm sorry for doing that. I shouldn't have done that. But I have been thinking alot lately and wanted to give this mate stuff a chance."

"Really?" I asked with wonder, my heart was beating so fast I could feel it in my throat.

"Yeah," he said as he bit his lip.

Dang that is sexy.

"I would love to go on a date with you Liam." I said smiling as his face gently lit up.

"O-okay great! Be ready by seven o'clock tomorrow!" he stated before turning to go downstairs.

I stood in place for a couple of seconds before using my vampire speed to rush into my room. Slamming the door shut I collapsed onto my bed. I was probably grinning like an idiot.
