This was requested by Ravennevermoor101 (sorry if it's short)

People were chatting happily along the street, children running around and playing happily. But one person wasn't. A young woman was walking down the street, head down, long brown hair hanging down, hiding her face, her knee length black dress moving around slightly from the gentle breeze. The world seemed to be celebrating, the sun was beating down and seemed rather bright, almost like it was smiling down upon the Earth, contradicting greatly with how Dakota felt. No, she certainly was not in a pleasant mood, she was rather miserable if I'm to be honest.

Well, who wouldn't be miserable if someone in their family died? You see, her aunt had died quite recently. And Dakota had been sent to get her aunts coffin. The weather annoyed her, how could the world be so happy when something like this has happened?

She looked up when she reached her destination, her blue eyes swimming with confusion as her brows knitted together. "Surely this isn't the place, it looks so run down." She muttered. Shaking her head she sighed. "But this is the address so...." Silently, she pushed open the door, and looked around. Creepy, that was the only way to describe it, creepy. It was so dark in there, and it seemed empty. She was expecting a funeral parlour to be creepy, but not this creepy. Oh well. She walked in further, still looking around. She didn't know if she liked it in here, but she couldn't leave. She had to get the coffin.

Suddenly, the door slammed behind her. Shock pumping through her, she whipped her head in the direction of the door, only to see it had closed. "Maybe it's just the wind." She tried to reassure herself. Thinking nothing more of the incident, she turned back and walked to the centre of the shop.

"Why hello dearie" A slightly high pitched voice said, seeming to come from the darkness.Dakota turned her head to where the voice came from, only to see one of the coffins opening up. When it was finally open, there stood a man. He was interesting to say the least. His hair was long and grey, hanging over his eyes, his skin was pale and he was dressed in a long black cloak, and a black hat. The thing that stood out most was his wide smile.

"Hello, mister, I just need to get a coffin for my aunt." Dakota told him, trying her hardest not to sound scared.

"Ah, of course, hehe~" He whispered to her, laughing at the end.

Dakota, turned and sat on the shops counter, waiting for him to prepare the coffin. While she was waiting she tried to start up a conversation. "So, Mister, what's your name?"

"Just call me Undertaker, dearie, now, mind telling me your name?" He asked.

"Dakota." She whispered. "Do you enjoy your job, Undertaker?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I?"

She smiled, maybe this wasn't so bad. She continued talking to him. She asked him many questions like 'what is your favourite thing about your job?' To which he replied by saying he liked to make his guests beautiful. She asked him if he had any family, which he replied with by saying he didn't. Dakota felt sorry for him, but he seemed happy enough.

All the way through the conversation, they would randomly crack jokes and they both burst out laughing.*Time skip*

"Why are doctors always calm?" Dakota asked, smiling.

Undertaker shrugged, laughing quietly, still amused from the last joke.

"Because they always have a lot of patients."

They both instantly burst out laughing, Dakota had certainly cheered up.

During the whole ordeal, Dakota had fallen for him. She wasn't sure if it was his unusual looks, or his interesting laugh. His seemingly permanent smile, or his cheery out look. Even if he had macabre interests, he didn't seem like a bad person, and Dakota had fallen for him. And she had fallen fast.

She wasn't sure if she should act upon it straight away or wait, but she knew if she waited, the feeling would slowly eat her up from the inside. Smiling, she walked up to Undertaker after he had finished with the coffin. "Thank you" She smiled, kissing his cheek. "Maybe I'll come and visit you again." She grinned, walking out.

What she didn't know, is that she had left a very flustered undertaker standing there in his shop.
