Taehyung in summer.
his saffron shades,
ecstatic boxy smiles-
followed by laughter,
dazzling clothes of firm shorts
and sleeveless shirts-
replaced the jumpers and
sweatshirts,
bandanas and head scarves
kept his hair back,
for the sunshine to gleam
on his forehead
and bring the hazel
out of his eyes
to match the golden grains
of the frail sand
by the sea.
more carefree,
more spontaneous,
more alleviated-
that's what Taehyung
was like
in the early and late
months of summer-
when the sun set overdue
and the breeze shoved
back his hair.
he'd drag Seol into the water,
waves crashing around them,
blues everywhere,
douse hands interlocking,
closed eyes-
blinking eyes with water,
eyelashes stained,
permanent euphoric smiles
and faith in their hearts-
wanting summer to stay.
but summer
had its miseries too.
the sun may shine,
but it truly is just an illusion.
