My body grows cold.
I can feel my soul escaping.
You're walking away.
You're leaving me helpless.
I need you!
Please, don't leave!
My cries are ignored by your selfish ears.
Blood is now pooling.
Its' racing after your footprints.
If it can't catch you, then neither can I.
As I lay, you stop.
You gaze upon my lifeless body one last time.
Then you rip my heart out and take it with you.
I'm not the heartless one.
You are.
It is a mere replacement for the one you lack.
The light calls for me and I must answer.
I am left with no other choice than to embrace it.
As I enter, I look for you.
But you are not there.
Your hand is not outstretched for mine.
I take another step and I can hear your voice.
It whispers in my disbelieving ears.
You've come back.
At last.
My soul is relieved, but not forgiven.
Return what is mine and leave, again.
Do not come back this time.
You are too late.
I am at peace.
I have found a love greater than yours.
He holds my hand and dares not to take a step before me.
So leave.
I beg of you.
Leave.
