Chapter 14

Once we arrive to the area that Rei's stone is at, they park having ace stay with Yū so she's not alone. Peter and I follow them as we walk around. They have their hand on the walls as they walk to make sure that they don't miss it. I walk looking around I go to do a spell but they stop me,

"I want to do this without help. I don't want to always have to relies on you guys to help me."

I nod and allow them to look on their own. After about two hours we finally get to the wall were looking for. I do a quick spell to make sure were at the right one. Then me and peter move back and allow Rei to do this on their own.

They walk to the wall putting their hand on it softly, closing their eyes then focusing on how to get the stone out. After a minute or so has past they turn around and look at me and peter.

"okay...i need help guys.."

There's no answer. It's like we can't see or hear them. They walk up to me and peter trying to get our attention yet unable to. They start to get a feeling deep down of dread and panic. Then run around town trying to get people to look at them and then finally going back to Yū to see if their beloved could see and hear them. Yet even Yū is unable to hear their cries to be seen. They wonder around lost and hopeless. They try again and again to be seen or heard yet no one person spoke or looked at them. It seemed as if time stood still for them and there was nothing they could do about it.

"come on please! Can anyone hear me!? Can you see me?! Why is no one moving?!"

As panic grows more and the feeling of dread becomes unbearable, a soft small voice is heard.

"i hear you"

They look down to see a small child. Pale and see through almost like a ghost. They walk to to Rei and smile softly.

"your like me."

The child shakes their head.

"you are me Rei. It's been so long hasn't it."

Rei is confused them the child seems to grow up before their eyes. Rei is now looking at themself not sure on how to react to this. The use to be child smiles.

"your stong Rei. All on your own. You don't have to ask for help. There is a way out for you on your own."

The child walks away and Rei follows after.

"wait don't go! I need help!"

"no you don't."

The child disappears and Rei is alone once more. They look around and they try to look for a way out. They realize that panicking and asking for help won't help. They calm down and they look around. They return to the wall. As they lean against the wall then end up going through it. They're able to see the stone now and they gently take it once to suddenly wake up in the car with the stone in their hand. A few minutes later me and peter run to the car.

I look at them.

"where did you do. You touched the wall and then was gone."

Rei looks at us confused then looks at the stone.

"these stones are like a drug trip..."

Yū chuckcles.

"that's for sure. One minute your drowning then your suddenly alive and dry in the woods next to a lake."

"or in a town where no one is moving and no one can hear or see you..."

I blink.

"damn. Ace what did you see?"

"dirt! Lots of dirt and wood! I was under ground!"

I realize he's to happy to be talking about being buried alive yet here we are.

"i had to dig and dig and dig!"

I look down as Ace smiles and starts digging in the dirt getting all messy. I look at peter.

"what do you think yours is?"

"probably hit by a car or a train. I have a feeling it's a train in all honestly."

Yū looks at us.

"okay so there's a witch....a werewolf...a vampire.....and now a ghost...what do you think peter is?"

I think.

"prophet probably. Have you read the story he's been writing? Its like he knew that we were going to do this without knowing."

I look at her then at peter.

"i could use a spell but I don't want to get to reliant on magic....we should go to where peters is. We still have tomorrow. Then we have to head home. We can get a hotel. Then we can look for whatever happens to peter. "

Once we agree to what to do we get in the car and head to the town where peter's stone is. Then we get three rooms. Two with one bed and one with two beds. Rei and Yū get their own room. Ace gets his own room. Peter and I get a room. When we walk in we see there's only one bed.

"wanna share a bed or should I sleep in the chair?"

I look at peter.

"we can share. I don't see why not."

I nod and I walk to the bed putting my bad down then I go taking a shower as peter gets ready to sleep. Once its done I go back to the bed and I lay down. I fall asleep as peter does. Ace does his own thing that ends up tearing the pillows and blankets up as Rei and Yū cuddle together sleeping. It's a nice night till morning comes. That's when we'll have to face a challenge wWe had no idea what was waiting for us when we came home.
