Chapter 9

I walk to the club room after classes let out. As I walk I open my book bag and take out my book looking at it turning it over in my hands looking at it. I walk to the door stopping in front of it. I know their all here yet when I look in I see that the room is completely dark except for candles. I open the door and I walk in seeing Yū standing at the front of the table that has everything that was in my box.

"why did you open my box?"

"oh? This was yours? I thought you said that....is that a spell book?"

Yū looks at the book I'm holding and I shrug.

"I haven't opened it yet. It's still locked. I got it with the box of weird things."

I notice their all staring.

"look you're the only ones I can talk to about and I didn't want to do this alone..."

I glance at peter who has a smile on his face. I blush slightly embarrassed. I set the book on the table and I take the necklace off. I hear peter talk.

"does that open it?"

"I think....im not sure. Let's see."

I look at the book as I put the gem into the spot on the book. I wince and groan in pain since I'm unable to remove my hand and the book is glowing like crazy. I black out and when I come to I look at Yū and rei that's helping me up.

"what happened?"

Rei speaks softly.

"you put the necklace on the book and there was a bright light then your hand turned red and your eyes was glowing completely red as well..."

"it sounded like you were talking in..."

I finish peters sentence.

"Latin?"

I see him nod and I look at the book seeing it open now and unlocked. I look at my hand to see it has a matching crescent moon on it. I look at the book reading it and I notice their all staring at me.

"what?"

I walk up to the book and I start to flip through the pages.

"Vlad your eyes.... they change when you touch the book...."

I look up at ace and tilt my head.

"what do you mean?"

Rei hands me a mirror and I look at myself every time I touch my hand to the book my brown eyes turn red.

"odd...."

I go back to reading the pages and I look to my left to see peter looking as well.

"the pages are blank"

I shake my head looking at him.

"no they're not. Just all in Latin.... this...is odd"

Yū nods and looks through the other pages and sees a folded paper and pulls it out. Ace yells at her.

"you tore the book! How could you!?"

"ace calm down it wasn't even part of the book. Here Vlad"

I take the paper from Yū and I open it. Reading the or trying to read the Latin.

"this is going to take me a while to figure out what it means...."

"I can help you learn Latin if you need to. My uncle can read it he studied it and teaches it in his college class."

I smile softly at peter.

"thanks peter. I'll see if I'm able to come over tomorrow so we can work on this more. "

"your family is all nerds huh Pete?"

I see peter glare at ace and ace just smiles like a happy puppy.

"you can help me with my homework! I don't understand the math ones."

I watch as peter seems to be ticked off by ace yet helps him with his work explaining it the best he can. I look at the book and before I shut it I hear a thump on the window.

"that damn stupid bird..."

I walk over and I open the window letting little light in as leguon hops into the room and chips looking around. Yū walks over and pets him and he moves away flying to my shoulder like he always does and chirps at Yū.

"he doesn't like being petted there."

I hear her laugh.

"you are a witch! I told you!"

"guy witches are wizards Yū"

"but according to the myth and history only women can be witches with magic so you're either a woman or something else is going on."

Before I can say anything I squeak hearing peters chair fall over from out fast he got up and he grabs my arm leading me out of the room and down the hall.

"peter what are you doing?"

"what if that's why you can do what you can do? Maybe we should tell them."

"not now another time...I'm pretty sure the only one that can't tell is ace."

"but Vlad th- "

"peter no. I can't let this get out to the rest of the school this is why I had to move and now all this weird supernatural shit is happening! I wouldn't be surprised if two guy in an impala showed up!"

"I know but only them. No one else. Oh here I almost forgot"

He hands me a paper with his, ace, rei and Yū's number on it. I look at him and I take the paper.

"were in something deep so I thought we would need to stay in touch."

"hey peter.... your story...I read some of it on my way home yesterday.... how did you know about it?"

"it was just in a dream...I just wrote it down. I didn't understand till now"

"you should make it private for only the group to see. We don't know who's out there like who sent me this...."

He nods agreeing with me and we go back to the club room and I see Yū cleaning up and I close my book putting my necklace back on.

"I'm going to head home and do some research on this...."

Yū nods and smirks.

"as well I and I already know peter will. Come on rei lets go home."

Rei smiles and follows Yū out and I walk out with peter as ace heads to his car. Peter gives me a ride home on his bike like he did this morning and I thank him for the ride as I head into the house. I look around happy im by myself right now as I run up to my room. The first thing I do is pass out on my bed.
