Chapter 5

I smile as I sit with him watching tv. I haven't even noticed that he had his arm around me, holding me close to him as he watches almost as if its almost natrual for him to. I give a small yawn as i look back at the TV.  I stand hearing my phone go off and i step outside to answer it. Once i walk back in i notice hes looking at me.
"Is everything okay?"
He says with worry in his voice as he watches my slim figure walk across the room and to the couch to sit down.
"Ya everything is fine. My brother just called again."
I grab my bag putting the strap over my shoulder and heading to the door realizing i have to go before my brother keeps calling me.
"Wait your leaving?"
I hear his voice call out to me from where hes sitting. I hear him stand as i open the door.
"Ya i have to.. sorry ace. Ill see you this weekend when you come over."
I leave his house before he can stop me. I sigh to myself as i walk down the street to my house thats a few blocks away. I look around to check my surroundings, realived to see that hes not following me.  I keep walking till im to my front door unlocking it as i walk in only to be welcomed by no one home.
As usual.
I look around then head to my room to put my bag down and slip off my shoes. I hear tapping at my window and i walk to it opening it to let in the crow that always follows me. He just sits at the foot of my bed and watches whatever i do. He seems to only eat meat so i feed him that since he seems to hate bird feed. I go to the fridge as he chirps. After a minute of me getting food for him he seems to be screaming as i walk into my room with the thick raw meat. I lay it on the floor for him using a old plate for him to eat the raw meat off of. He hops down from my bed post and eats the raw meat. I shaking my head as he seems to be enjoying it. I sit at my desk and look at him watching him eat.
"You only come here because i feed you huh?"
He stops eating and looks up at me then chirps softly before he goes back to eating.  I think to my self then talk out loud as if speacking to the eating bird.
"Youve been here for awhile...i should name you.....how does larry sound?"
He chirps angryly at me.
"Okay so thats off the list....how about...jeff?"
He chirps again with more anger then before.
"Okay okay.....your gonna make me go through many names arent you? Wait.."
He looks up giving a small chirp.
"How about leguon?"
He chirps satisfied with the name.
"Odd bird... you act like a person"
I sigh as i stand and i walk down to the living room since i heard the door open and close. I sit on the steps as the crow flies to me landing on my shoulder. I watch my sister walk in and out of the kicthen and the living room on the phone talking to some one. Once she hangs up leguon chirps scaring her.
"What the?! Wait..lil bro what are you doing? You scared me.."
She says this aonnyed then walks closer to me looking at the crow.
"Why do you have a crow? Aiden wont be happy about you having a bird in the house"
I just look up at her. The crow doing the same. She seems taken back by this and just shakes her head walking away from me. I dont talk much to her or my brother unless i have to. I stand once I notice that there isn't a reason for me to stay down here any more. I stand and go to head up tp my room till my sister says my name. I look over to her as she walks to me handing a small black bag to me. I look at her tiliting my head as she looks at me.
"Just take it. I was given it but i didnt want it so you can have it."
I nod as she walks off and i go to my room shutting and locking my door. I sit on my bed as leguon returns to his spot on my bed post and i look at the bag pulling out a black chained necklace with a dark ruby stone attactec to it as i set the black bag down on my bed. I look at the necklace as the stone shines in the light.  I shurg and slip it on looking at it.  I show it to leguon and he chirps at it trying to eat the shiney ruby stone and i sigh.
"Stupid bird. Its not food."
I sigh as i take it from him and i lay on my bed staring at the potser i have right above my bed. I think about the days to come till ace is coming over and i sigh not wanting to wait for the weekend. I stand up as i grab my pjs. I then go and take a quick shower so i can sleep before my brother comes home. Once im done i walk out in a black tshirt and pj pants. I groan when i hear the door open and close as my brother calls out saying hes home. Here it goes again, when ever hes home him and tsuki argue till the late or should i say early morning hours. I sigh as i put in my headphones and blast my music till i can hear them anymore. I drift off to sleep as leguon flies out of my window.
