Drew was walking out of the breakroom when he got a text message. He got his phone out of his pocket and looked at it.

From: TC

Found Taylor. She's fine. She's safe- we're on our way to SAM now. Few minutes out.

Drew sighed with relief knowing that his daughter was okay. He walked to the nurse's station and waited impatiently for TC to arrive with Taylor. After a couple of minutes, TC rushed in wheeling the patient. Drew ran over to him.

"Where is she?" He asked his friend.

"Behind me." TC told him before he carried on to a trauma room. Drew walked towards the entrance and saw Taylor walking in. He stopped and stood with his arms folded. Taylor also stopped, seeing the angry expression on his face.

"With me." He said sternly before he turned around and started to walk away. Taylor hesitated for a few moments before she followed him to the break. When she walked in, Drew closed the door and turned to face her. "Where have you been?"

"I just needed to get away for a while. This is all too much." Taylor replied.

"What's too much?" Drew questioned.

"Nothing." She muttered.

"I've been trying to get a hold of your mom." Drew told her and she scoffed. "She won't answer my calls or my texts."

"No surprise there." Taylor sighs.

"What's going on with you?" Drew challenged. "Why are you being like this?" Taylor remained silent. "You know you can tell me anything, right?"

"No. I can't, dad, I can't tell you. You won't understand." Taylor responded.

"Taylor, I'm your dad, it's my job to try and understand what you're going through." Drew stated.

"How can you understand what I'm going through if you haven't been through it yourself?" She asked. "You can't." Drew's pager went off but he ignored it, not bothering to look at it.

"You're going out, getting high. Getting drunk. Running away. Hell, you even ran away from Seattle!" Drew exclaimed. "Something is wrong, Taylor! You need to speak to me."

"I don't need to speak to you!" Taylor shouted. "You rarely see me! We may talk on the phone. Facetime. Text each other. But you haven't seen first-hand what's it's like." She added. "God, I wish I never came here." She saw that Drew was upset by her last remark. "I didn't mean it like that." She shook her head. "I came here to escape Seattle. Not to be coddled. I don't needed coddling anymore."

"Tay, you're sixteen. You're a child. We just want to protect you. You can't go getting high or drunk. You're going to get yourself killed." Drew stated, trying his best to stay calm.

"It's how I deal with things!" Taylor exclaimed. "It's how I-" They're interrupted by the intercom.

Doctor Alister to the ER. Doctor Alister to the ER.

"This conversation isn't over." Drew raised his eyebrow as he pointed at her before he ran off.

Half an hour later, Taylor was slumped on the sofa when Rick walked in.

"Come on, I'm taking you home." Rick told her.

"What about dad?" Taylor asked.

"He's still working and you can't be here." Rick said.

"You mean he doesn't trust me to be here because I do drugs." Taylor raised an eyebrow.

"Let's go." Rick replied. Taylor didn't move. "I won't ask again, Taylor."

"What are you gonna do? Arrest me?" Taylor laughed. "Pretty sure my dad would be against that."

"Taylor!" Rick boomed. "Now!" Taylor sighed, stood up and walked out of the room.

During the ride home, Rick tries to talk to Taylor.

"You know your dad is only trying to help you." He stated. Taylor ignored him and looked out of the window. "He's your dad, that's his job. Don't push him away."
