It had been a few days since Taylor has ran out of the hospital. Drew hadn't heard from or seen his daughter in this time. He had tried calling Katherine multiple times but she still hadn't answered. The only thing keeping Drew together was work and his friends. He was currently in the middle of working a 14 hour shift. As the night dragged on, Drew went from patient to patient, praying that the time would go by quickly.
Meanwhile out on the streets of San Antonio, Taylor was walking alone in the dark. She had spent a few days staying on people's couches that she knew but tonight was different. Tonight she had nowhere to go. Instead of setting down, Taylor kept walking around to keep warm. It was early hours in the morning when Taylor heard a noise from the alleyway next to her.
"Hello?" Taylor called, getting out her phone to use the flashlight.
"Help...me!" Someone choked. Taylor flashed the light down the alley way and her eyes widened. Laying on the floor in a pool of blood there was a man he was badly hurt.
"Oh my god!" She exclaimed rushing over to the man.
"It's okay...I'm going to call for help." Taylor told the man, who was barely awake. Taylor dialed 9-1-1 and called for help.
"9-1-1, what's your emergency?"
"I need an ambulance to the corner of margate and buck. We're in an alleyway right off the corner." Taylor described.
"What's the nature of the call?"
"Someone's been stabbed." Taylor stated as she put pressure on the wound.
"Okay, an ambulance is on the way. Stay on the phone-" The dispatcher went to say but before he could finish Taylor hung up and dialed another number.
"Taylor?! Where are you?" TC answered as the line connected.
"Don't be mad...I need help. I've already called for an ambulance but he's bleeding out." Taylor said panicked.
"Okay Taylor listen to me...what's happened?" TC asks, trying to calm the teen down.
"I heard someone calling for help. I found him bleeding him. T he's been stabbed in the leg and there's loads of blood." Taylor gushed.
"Okay where are you?" TC asked.
"The corner of margate and buck. We're in an alleyway right off the corner." Taylor told him.
"Okay, I'm on my way. Don't hang up okay?" TC told the teen.
"Okay..." Taylor sniffled.
"T I'm really scared..." Taylor said quietly.
"Taylor listen to me. It's going to be okay alright? I'm going to tell you what to do." TC reassured the teen.
"Okay...okay, yeah. Tell me what to do." Taylor encouraged herself.
"Okay where's he bleeding from?" TC started.
"His thigh."
"Okay and is the blood leaking or squirting?" TC added.
"Pumping..." Taylor stuttered.
"Okay, he's probably cut his artery. Taylor I need you to clip it off." TC instructed.
"What? How? With what?" Taylor panicked.
"Taylor listen to me...find anything. A hair clip, a shoelace...anything." TC explained.
"Okay..." Taylor muttered, as she looked round for something. Then she remembered about the pins in her hair.
"Okay, I have a hair pin. Now what?" Taylor asked as she put the phone on speaker.
"Reach into the wound, feel for the big, soft thing where the hole is and place the pin above the hole okay?" TC explained slowly.
"Oh...erm...okay." Taylor started to panic but took some deep breaths. A minute later she had done it and the bleeding had slowed down a considerable amount.
"Okay...I've done it. It's working." Taylor said happily once she noticed that the bleeding had slowed.
"TC?" Taylor asked, when he didn't reply.
"Yeah, I'm here."
"Taylor!" TC shouted as Taylor heard a car pull up.
"Yeah, TC over here!" Taylor shouted back, relieved that he was finally there. Appearing at the end of the alleyway, TC shone a torch down before he clocked their location and ran down to Taylor and the injured man.
"Hey, are you okay?" TC asked the teen as he kneeled down the other side of the man with a medical bag.
"Yeah...just help him." Taylor said standing up.
"Okay, go flag down the ambulance." TC said once they heard sirens. Taylor nodded and ran off down to the road. A few minutes she returned with the paramedics.
"Stab wound to the right thigh that lacerated his femoral artery. Pinned off with a hair clip and cellox. B/P is low so let's get him on a line before we get him in the rig." TC told the paramedics. They nodded and did what TC said before they loaded the man onto their stretcher and started wheeling him towards the ambulance. Taylor hung back a few meters away from the ambulance. Once they had loaded the patient. TC put his bag down inside of the ambulance before he walked over to the teen.
"You're getting on that ambulance." TC tells the teen sternly, knowing that everyone, especially Drew, was worried about her over the last few days.
"I can't. My dad will be angry with me. He won't want to see me." Taylor cries, shaking her head.
"That's not true. We've been looking for you for days. He has been freaking out." TC explains, trying to get through to her. Taylor looks at him. She sighs and wipes her eyes before she gets on the ambulance with him. A few minutes into the journey to San Antonio Memorial, Taylor says something.
"I can't keep doing this." She says quietly whilst fiddling with her bracket. T.C looks at her confused. He goes to say something but decides it best not to say anything at the moment in time. They spend the rest of the drive to the hospital in silence.
