I exited the small room which I hadn't been in for even an hour.

My hands fidgeted at my sides and I quickly stuck them in my small pockets.

Nick started to explain that he was showing me to his office and there we could talk.

He walked funny. His hips swayed and his feet crossed over eachother every other step. He wasn't like the other people here. Everyone else seemed to have baggage, but he was light as a carry on.

He'd turn around every few seconds to see if I was still walking then return his eyes to his feet.

His hands stuffed in his pockets he looked like an anxious teenager waiting for a date.

He stopped for a second, catching me off guard. There was a small jingling coming from somewhere up ahead.

Security.

I didn't think much at first but then he spoke up.

Shit.

He looked at his watch and started looking around nervously.

They weren't supposed to be here this early.

I looked at him in shock.

What the hell do you mean?

He started to panic. His eyes looked for an escape.

Look, I wasn't assigned to you. i got some random kid, but that kid died a while back. I didn't get a new file so I stole yours.

I tilted my head for a second. Who the hell would want my file?

He reached the closest door and opened it.

This'll have to do. Now, get it before someone hears us.

I snuck in after him and listened to our breaths as he closed the door. Footsteps were pacing outside in the hall. I could feel my heart beating inside my chest. It was going to pop out right there.

Step. Step. Step.

What did we get ourselves into?!

Step. Step. Step.

The walls closed in on us.

Step.

Closer.

Complete silence.

I reached down to wipe the sweat off my palms.

Our hands brushed, his cold like ice.

I bit back the air held in me.

I'm still not sure what drove me to do it, but in that moment everything fell in place.

I slipped our hands together. Both of us choking in silence.

Again the jangling of keys was heard.

The guard was gone now, but neither of us dared move.

A minute passed, two, and yet we kept still.

I tugged to pull away and break the stiffness, but he clenched tightly.

I had never thought of anything going like this. I didn't even know why I had done it in the first place. I wasn't gay. Was I?

Shit... Maybe I was.
