Chapter 1: Andi

Have I ever told you how boring meetings are? I mean, really? The secret service, bodyguards, and of course, me , the undercover spy, just happens to stand there while the politicians like the president and government officials just yap on and on about thingies that even a highly trained spy can't comprehend. I wonder if they, like most spies, speak in codes or something. I sighed to myself as I stood next to Mr. Peirce, the mayor of Richmond, Virginia, as he sat around a big circular table with other city mayors in Virginia.

"It's crucial to understand the school budget is cut off due to the recession that we are in now," said Mr. Peirce.

"What can we do about it? Our President is funding for our soldiers and all that, but soon, America is going to hit rock bottom," says a stern looking man who I believe is the mayor of Hampton.

It was then when I heard a slight yelling outside the meeting room. The bodyguards must have heard it too, because instantly, everyone of us took out our guns and tensed in front of our assignment. I looked at Mr. Peirce and he sent me a calm nod and a trusting look. He trusted me with his life to protect him. I took out my Glock 23 and waited...and waited....until I heard a slight pounding sound then a grunt of pain. Shit, the guards outside are hurt. The door to the room opened with a pound and three guys walked in with black masks and holding machine guns that could kill all of us within seconds. However, they didn't shoot; they all seem to size the bodyguard up and gave me a weird look when the caught sight of me. I am willing to bet anything that these guys think I'm a weak girl that they can kill with a flick of their fingers. Wrong move.

"Ah, so this is where the famous mayors meet," said the guy in the middle, who I am assuming is the leader.

"Wonder why they have so much protection, Hank," said the guy on the left.

"I don't know, Jeff, let's ask," said the guy on the right.

"Jeff, Paul, shut it," Hank snapped then turned to face our direction.

"I am assuming you know who we are," Hank said with a smirk.

"Black Venom," a voice muttered.

"Ah, I can see that you're informed," Jeff said in an amused voice.

"Anyway, we are here to recruit new members. You see, since we lost one of our precious leaders, Chad Peirce, we have lost many followers. Then I realized what better way to get power if those people are powerful already. Right, Mr. Peirce? I mean, I'm sure your son knows what I'm talking about," Hank smirked.

Mr. Pierce, who was now beside me, looked pained at the mention of his son, who was part of the assassin group that tried to bomb the White House not too long ago.

"My son is no longer here, so what do you want?" Mr. Peirce said harshly.

"For you to join us. With you, we will conquer what is ours and reform the government to into something greater," Hank said.

I stifled a giggle but didn't succeed since the three men turned and looked at me.

"Ah, who is this gorgeous creature," Jeff mused.

I sobered and put on a bored face, "Someone you can't have."

"Feisty," Paul said with a disgusting leer.

Hank ignored them both and turned to face Mr. Pierce and I, "Either join or die."

The rest of the room looked panicked but I spoke up, "See, this is where you idiots are wrong."

Hank smiled at me and said, "How so? You are just a defenseless girl with a big mouth. Big talk but no action, missy."

I smirked and within a flash, I pinned Hank down to the ground. Paul and Jeff were dumbfounded for a moment, and the guards use that distraction to tackle them both. I turned to face Hank and he smiled at me like he had some secret that I don't know. I felt a shock went through me and realized that the bastard used a taser with his hand. I froze from the shock and he got up, the shock didn't wear and I groaned at I stood up. I glared at Hank, who was now holding Mr. Peirce at gunpoint.
