A/N Song is Alice by Avril Lavigne. I know that it's weird for me to leave an author's note now, but I felt like I should just put it at the beginning for suspence reasons. Hope you guys like this! Have a good day, or night, or whatever. God bless! TTYL!

"Ugh," I groan as I start coming back to consciousness. I try to open my eyes, but they feel like they're weighted down with lead. Every time that I manage to open them a little, they close again.

I'm wide awake, but I literally cannot keep my eyes open. I can still feel and smell, though. And what I can currently feel is cuffs around my wrists. No surprise there. I can still remember being captured by the so-called Justice League.

I hear my sister groan next to me. I manage to open my eyes long enough to see her and the cuffs that I already knew were on my wrists.

After a few more minutes, Jade and I can finally keep our eyes open. I look around, trying to access my surroundings. I can see a wood and metal table right in front of me. I'm sitting on a metal chair. The cuffs connect to the table and the sides of the chair with slack chains. Probably so I can still move my hands. Jade is set up the same way. I can see GA, Canary, Batman, Martian Manhunter, and Red Tornado behind the table.

Most people would totally freak out in this situation. But, I know something. These people that captured me and my sister are the good guys. They aren't going to torture us like the Shadows would. They'll probably have one of the Martians try to read our minds.

The only problem, for them at least, is that my sister and I were trained to resist mind readers. We can't fend off, say Psimon, but we can easily fend off Martian Manhunter and his sidekick. If they want to make us talk, they'll have to get Zatara to put a spell on us.Batman hits a button on the wall by the door. "Batman to team. Come in. It's time for the interrogation."

'Good luck with the interrogation,' I think with a smirk. Canary gives me a hard look. Green Arrow leaves the room. The team comes in, looking pleased with themselves.

My sister arches an eyebrow at them. "Don't look so cocky. If you hadn't cheated, we would've won and wouldn't be here right now."

Kid Flash scoffs. "We didn't cheat."

"Yeah, you did," I reminded him. "You called the League for backup. There were two of us and six of you, and you called for backup. I didn't see or hear Cheshire and I calling for backup. Did, YOU see or hear us call for backup, Chesh?"

My sister shakes her head. "Nope," She responds, popping the 'p'.

"So, you totally did cheat," I say. "We were outnumbered three to one. Neither of us have superpowers. And we still would've won if you babies hadn't called for backup."Kid opened his mouth to object, but the Dark Knight glared at him, and the boy's mouth snapped shut.

"That's not important right now," the Bat states, as Green Arrow comes in wheeling-were those lie detectors?- one in front and another behind him.

"Polygraphs?" Jae asks, rolling her eyes. "Really?"

"Yes, really," Batman says. Suddenly I get this weird feeling in my mind, like...

'A, B, C, D, E, F, G,' I sing in my head, blocking Martian Manhunter's attempt at reading my mind. 'H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P!' I can vaguely hear my sister reciting Jabberwocky. "Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z! Now I know my-" The feeling goes away. I smirk as I watch Manhunter shake his head."Don't you think we're trained against mind readers?" I ask, rolling my eyes.

"Do you want me to try?" Miss Martian asks.

"Sure," Says Manhunter. I sigh, expecting resisting her to be an even easier walk in the park. Instead, I discover that it's actually harder to block her. My sister and I manage to fend her off, though.

"Ok," Green Arrow says in a cheery voice. "We're going to ask you two some questions before we give you the polygraph, and then we'll run the polygraph on you, ok?"

Jade and I snicker. "You say that like we get a choice," I say. Greenie ignores me.

"What are your names? Your actual names, I mean. Your full names," Black Canary says.

"Jade Paula Nguyen," My sister replies instantly.

"Artemis Lian Crock," I respond in chorus.

"Nguyen," the Bat mutters. "Crock... Where do I know those names?"

"Us," Jade suggests. He glares at her.

Canary asks us how old we are. 15, 19. How long we've officially been Shadows. A year and a half for Jade, five months for me. A few more questions, some of which we don't answer, which seems to annoy them.

"Ok, we're going to set up the polygraph now, alright?" Green Arrow asks like Jae and I have a choice.

The Flash had come in to help a few minutes ago. He starts putting the lie detector crap on Jade, and accidentally brushes over her breast lightly with his fingers. Despite the cuffs, she easily manages to grab his wrist and judo-flip him into the table.

I glare at Batman. "Take that as a warning not to do the same thing to me," I growl. He puts the cords and wires on me much more carefully than Flash did with my sister.

They review the questions that they already asked us and received answers to to make sure they stayed the same. Then they ask us something new. "Where do we recognize your surnames from?" Batman asks us.

Jade and I laughed. "Look us up," we say in unison. Boy Wonder does just that. He gasps.

"No, no, no, no!" He cried.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes!" I cry delightedly.

"What?" Canary asks.

"Check them for trackers! Now!" Robin yells.

Green Arrow immediately grabs my sister's mask, which is sitting on the table. He looks me over. Then he yanks off my Alice band. He had guessed right. That's where are main trackers are. But we each have a backup one. My sister and I both swear though, to make it seem like we don't.Robin shakes his head. "They each probably have at least one more. Look for them!" Oh, no. If they found our backups, then, well, too bad for us.

Batman pulls out a metal box. "This is a EMP transmitter of sorts," he informs us. "It's designed especially to shut down and locate trackers. When a pulse hits a tracker, the tracker will not only shut it down, but give away its location, as the pulse will become red and visible when it makes contact with the tracker."

'Oh, crap,' I think. If it really does what Batman says, we're toast.

The box indeed does exactly what Bats said it does. They locate our backup trackers, Jae's was in her belt, mine was just above the bottom hem of my dress. They take off Jade's belt and cut off a piece of fabric from my dress with the tracker. The Flash takes all four trackers away.

"We're all glad you realized that they had trackers," Black Canary says to Robin. "But how did you know?"

In answer, He shows the holographic screen to everyone. "Their parents," He says.

The team and present members of the League gasp.

"Lawrence Crock and Paula Nguyen Crock," The screen reads. "Sportsmaster and Huntress."
