Jade's POV

A/N This takes place during the Heart Attack chapter.

So, right now, I'm busy being interrogated by Zatara. I remember how just five minutes ago I was 45 minutes into my hour of gym time when GA, Canary, and Zatara showed up, told me that it was time for my interrogation and took me away.

"Llet eht hturt," Zatara says. Tell the truth.

"Let's start easy and work our way up," Canary says. "What's your real name?"

"Jade Nguyen," I immediately respond.

"How old are you?"

"19."

"Who are your parents?"

"Paula and Lawrence Crock."

"Do you have any siblings? What are their names?"

"One, Artemis."

"And how old is she?"

"15."

"How long have you been with the Shadows, Jade?"

I grit my teeth. "Don't call me Jade. And a year and a half."

"How many crimes did you commit before joining the Shadows?"

I shrug. "I don't know. I lost count."

"What were the crimes?"

"Mostly car jacking, getaway driving, and petty thievery. Though sometimes it was not-so-petty thievery and the occasional assassination."

Canary looked kind of disgusted, but continued. "And how many crimes have you committed since joining the Shadows?"

"Again, I don't know. They kinda start to blend together after a while."

"Ookkk... Umm... Are you a Shadow because you want to be?"

"Yes." I respond immediately. She wasn't kidding about the easy questions.

"Do you want to because you truly want to or because you were threatened?"

"Because I truly want to."

Now all the present members of the League, which would be Canary, GA, Batman, Zatara and the Flash, look disgusted. I just arch an eyebrow as Canary comes up with another question.

"Why are you dating Red Arrow? Is it because you're in love with him, or is it for another reason?"

I feel my face flush as red as a patch, no, a field of strawberries. But the answer comes out of my mouth, regardless of whether or not I want it to. "The first option," I mumble.

Canary smiles. "Has he told you his secret identity?"

"No," I say.

"But you know it," Batman says.

"Yes," I say.

"How?" Canary again.

"It's kind of well known among high standing Shadows. Alice knows, too."

"How do they know?"

"They found out."

"When?" Says GA worriedly.

"Three years ago, when they captured him."

"Of course," Greenie mumbles.

"Do you know anything else about him from the Shadows?" Batman asks.

Crap. "Yes."

"And what is that?"

CRAP. "He's 18." But my voice sounds strained, not telling the full truth is making my chest feel like it's about to explode. Not in a guilty way, but in a 'not telling the truth under a truth spell' kind of way.

"And..."

Well, I don't have a choice, do I? "He's a clone," Because of the truth spell, it just comes tumbling out of my mouth. "When the Shadows kidnapped him, they cloned him. This Roy is a clone. He's also the mole, but he himself didn't even know that up until I told him a couple of weeks ago."

They all look stunned. "Am I done now?" I ask.

Canary nods numbly, and releases me from the chair that they had attached the chains on my bracelets to. I get up and walk to the souvenir room and stare at the stuff until Canary and GA show up. Turns out that they want me to go back to me and Arty's new room. Apparently, Artemis is already back in our room and Arrow and Canary are gonna pick her up when they drop me off.

Right now, though, I can't help but think about what'll happen to me and Arty if the Shadows find out that I told the League about Roy. Nothing good, I'm sure.
