A/N Song is Lost Control by Alan Walker ft Sorana (This is an awesome song) I don't know the song or YJ, just this story. (I remembered the disclaimer again! Go me!)

Artemis' POV

I hear footsteps coming down the hallway. I leap up from behind the door and run to Jade's bed and sit down, messing up her perfectly made sheets. She hates it when I do that. So I make sure to do it often, though it sends her into a rampage.

There's a knock at the door and then it swings open. Jade walks in, and then she sees me on her messed up bed and looks clearly angry. She marches over and pushes me off of the bed. Hey, at least it's better than what she usually did before we got here.

"Alice," GA says. "Time for your interrogation." Something about him and Canary seems off, but I ignore it and follow them to the interrogation room, where they attach the chains on my bracelets to the chair that they made me sit on.

"Ok, do you want to go ahead and start?" Batman asks me.

I nod. "Sure, why not?"

"The questions will start of easy and get a little harder as we go on, ok?" Canary says.

I just nod.

"Llet eht hturt," Zatara says. Tell the truth. Then Canary starts asking the questions.

"What is your real name?"

"Artemis Crock."

"How old are you?"

"15."

"Who are your parents?"

"Paula Nguyen Crock and Lawrence Crock."

"Do you have any siblings? What are their names?"

These questions were annoying. Like, you KNOW the answers already, don't ask. But I don't have a choice but to answer.

"One, Jade Nguyen."

"And how old is she?"

"19."

"How long have you been a Shadow?"

"A few months."

"How many crimes did you commit before you joined?"

"I don't know," I say. "A whole bunch."

"Such as?"

"Car jacking, getaway driving, thievery. Occasionally underage drinking, admittedly."

"And underage driving. But, whatever. How many crimes since you joined?"

"A lot," I say quietly. I can just see the faces of all the people I've killed over the years in my mind's eye. And those were only the people that I killed directly. I had technically killed many more. Not to mention robbing houses, destroying houses, and mugging people. "But I'm not sure exactly how many."

"Ok," Then came the question that I had been dreading. "Are you working with the Shadows because you want to?"

Technically, the honest answer to that was yes. I didn't want Dad to follow through on his threat, so yes, I wanted to work with the Shadows so that that wouldn't happen.

"Yes," I say. Then came the unexpected fastball that hit me right in the gut.

"Are you working with the Shadows because you truly want to, or because you're being threatened?"
