"Finally, my first day of work in one of the biggest companies of all the Underground", was my first thought when I woke up this morning. I was so excited. I had that big ear-to-ear smile on my face. If someone decided, in that instant, to peer through the window of my room, they would have thought that I was insane. Now that I think about it, I find myself so naive. I didn't know at the time that it was going to be the toughest day of my life so far.
~Time skip~
I entered the building with my tie untied, the first buttons of my shirt undone, and a chocolate bar in my mouth. To complete the look, my hair was all disheveled. "The first day in here and you are already late. GREAT JOB MAN ", I thought, reprimanding myself.
The first thing I noticed when entering the establishment was that it was quiet. At the time, I did not know that was unusual. Of course, I just continued my way, walking down the hallway. I could feel the atmosphere getting heavier and heavier with every step I took. I approached what looked like the building's reception. I rang what appeared to be the world's smallest bell, hoping that someone would appear. For a second, I really thought a demon would appear out of thin air. However, I was only answered by the deafening silence of the building. With no one in sight, I did the only reasonable thing any decent person would. I yelled.
"HEY IS ANYONE AROUND. I'M NEW AND DEFINITLY NOT LOST."
Getting again, no answers, I turned around, ready to leave, but I then saw someone in the far corner of the left hall. Said person measured almost 5"3 feet. The being looked at me, peering into my soul. I could feel my mind drifting away from my body. It then said with a small but severe tone: "So, you are the newbie. You look like a mess. What happened? Did you just get dumped by your boyfriend?" Just so you know, I was and still am a heterosexual man. I looked at her and said, "Nah, kiddo, I was just searching for someone to show me around, and I also have a meeting with the boss of the establishment." She answered: "That does not answer my question?"
At that instant, I knew something was wrong because I noticed that she was dressed in the female version of the workplace attire. So I tried to back off and run for cover, but she had me already pinned down with a rope on my legs. I came to the sudden realization that she had placed traps everywhere around me. She then snarled at me: "Why do you look like such a mess. Answer me newbie." I then noticed that even though she had the technique, I had one advantage she did not have. I then yelled out of the top of my lungs and ripped through the ties that restrained me: "I am in such a mess because I was going to be late for my first day of work, kiddo. The name is A-Jack. A-Jack Vinson." She did not account for the fact of my innate brute force.
She got up, glared at me, and said: "Nevermind, stop disturbing me and leave through the way you came in. " I instantly shot up and started apologizing for whatever I did. I then asked with the utmost sincerity: "I really just want to get to the boss's office." She turned around, sized me up, and said: "Hmph, fine, I feel generous today." She brought me to the boss's office and left while saying, "Knock before you enter or you will regret it." I then asked for her name, and she answered: "Live first then I will tell you my name, fresh meat."
