Chapter Nine: The colorful team

"Hey, guys did you know that Jo is a bloodthirsty demon that has magical powers. The guy can airbend the oxygen out of your lungs..." I went on rambling while Carter and Yuno looked at me as if I was an alien. "Hey, Fatass you know that our boss is one of the weakest guys in the whole underground." Said Carter while laughing at me. My brain went blank at those words. If he was the weakest does that mean there are others who could beat him? Then how did he do the airbending thing he did. If that's the case did I get defeated by the weakest person in the whole underground? "Idiot, do not doubt our boss even though he is weak he is very smart and is the best tactician in this world. He was able to win a fight against Scarlet by using various techniques and strategies."  "Who needs strategies when you have the power to overthrow anything even the law. Power is everything" Shades said while walking away. 

I turned around to look at Yuno and she just shrugged. While she was there and not occupied I asked her what was her full name. "Why do you want to know." she glared at me with such intensity I almost decided to excuse myself. "Because we are co-workers and it would be good to know each other." She stood up hissed: "Yuno, will do perfectly for us to be co-workers and to get to know each other." She then started to walk away. However, before she could leave I told her to meet me here at 7 am tomorrow. 

I went to go find Carter. I needed to ask him something. He was at his desk catching some Zs like always. "Hey, Shades wake up I need your help on something." He stared at me for two seconds and said: "Let's go find you your weapon of choice." He then grabbed me by the shirt and dragged me to the weapons testing area.

Two hours later we were able to find me a weapon that suited my style of combat.That's what Carter said at least . We were also able to test it in an assignment I received from Jo. We had to go kill a group of bandits that were causing a ruckus at a local market center. The day ended, me and Shades went back home and went to sleep. The next day I woke up in cold sweat. I just had the worst dream ever. I saw everyone that I knew getting killed one by one. Their body's dismembered. Blood everywhere. I was trembling and I could not stabilize my breathing for like an hour. After calming down I went to check what hour it was. 4:34 in the morning. Dammit, I woke up really early. I could go back to sleep so I decided to go watch some TV to get my mind off of that dream. It did want to leave alone. This dream was haunting me it almost looked to real that was the scary part.

two hours later.

Shades woke up and saw me and yelled: "What's up fatsso. You could catch some sleep or what." I turned around and glared at him. He knew that I was not in the mood right now so he just said that he would go make breakfast. We ate breakfast and went to the office. Like planned Yuno was at the entrance waiting for us. ''So A-Jack, why did you ask me to meet you here with the other brute." She also looked as if she had no sleep. "The boss asked me to bring you guys with me to some specified address so Carter is gonna drive us there."

Ten Minutes Later

We approached what looked to be some kind of a warehouse. However, even I knew it wasn't a typical warehouse. First of all, it was way bigger than the ordinary deal. Second, It was also well maintained as if it was brand new. Third It was next to a manor. We saw Jonathan At the entrance of the building. He was wearing a very formal attire. Even more so than the one he wears at the office. Upon entering the place I noticed we weren't the only ones there. They were hundreds upon hundreds of geared up dudes and others that looked like Jo. 

The four of us then encountered the one and only yandere of the year Scarlet. She was with the ninja emo got dude and two other girls. "Meet Blue. He is my sniper assassin. He is well trained in all stealth domain." She pointed towards the blue-haired guy."It is an honor to meet you."He said while looking down on us. Then Scarlet grabbed an imposing girl with a what looked to be a Bo staff on her back. It wasn't that she was tall. It was the intensity in her eyes. She could put you down by  just looking at you."This Is Green. She is our brawler. She has studied many martial arts. She also has been a doctor in a past life, thus she knows all vital parts of the human body." "What's up squirts."  she then looked at the last girl and told her to come over. "Her name is Yellow. She is our craft smith and engineer. She has knowledge of every guns and weapon known to man. She could make a bomb out of candy." Yellow looked at us and murmured: "Is that all they look weak." 

They then left and Scarlet looked back at us and said: "You better forfeit the match Jonathan. Your recruits won't defeat my team. We are professionals compared to those immatures." She then turned around and left us angrier than ever. At least I and Carter were mad. Jo looked sad as hell and Yuno looked rattled.
