Chapter Eleven: Quite the Shock

upon arriving at the so-called food court I noticed that it wasn't some small food court. It was so big you could sit down a whole platoon. Now could you feed the whole platoon that I did not know? Everyone was there even Scarlet's team. They were somewhere far away from the commotion. I was waiting for Ivan to pop out from the roof, the floor even pop out of thin air. He had that something that only extravagant people had. That something, that pushed them to appear out of nowhere just to surprise the entire crowd. Exactly I said he appeared out of the floor. He was on a sitting to a table with a glass of wine and a bottle. I could hear someone yell: "Isn't that a Chambertin Grand Cru. Those bottles usual cost between 4000 to 10000 dollars." After hearing that I knew that he had gotten the reaction he wanted. The reason being he grinned and stood up. He then threw his wine on the floor and said out loud: "Welcome everyone, thank you all for coming on such short notice. I am her3 right now to talk of something that must have been in your mind for a while. Yes, I will explain the rules of the tournament. Before starting, I must precise that anyone that misbehaves will be disqualified. Now rule number 1: No killing your enemies. Rule number 2: You cannot use any kind of performance-enhancing drugs. Lastly rule number 3: the decision of the jury is final."

After those words, everyone knew what was coming. We could hear and smell food coming. "Now to celebrate this I decided to reward all of your year's hard work. THIS IS FOR YOU, EAT AND GAIN THE FOODS POWER. FEEL IT COURSE THROUGH YOUR VEINS."He then sat down and started drinking his wine from the bottle. Me, Carter, Yuno and Jo spent that night eating and laughing. The next few days all of us started practicing our basics. Like balance, controlling our power and much more.

Today was the day that the first fights were gonna take place. I heard that today was gonna be quite the day. when entering the arena I noticed that Shades was missing. I asked Jo and he told me that today Carter was gonna fight. The arena was quite big. It was big enough to comfortably use a sniper. Lucky Blue has one more advantage now. We were near the fighting area. We wouldn't miss any of the action. Ivan was in his suit giving some commentary. He looked like he was having a lot of fun. The first battle was a gun battle. One had an assault rifle and the other had a shotgun. It ended when the shotgun guy got close and lodged a bullet in the other guy's legs. It wasn't really that exciting. The one after was a katana showdown. It ended in a draw when both of the contestants got a hit on the other's torso. Then Ivan took the microphone again to call out the next fighters. "Our next opponent is Hyo park Codename: Yellow From Scarlet's team. She will be faced against Carter Wrights Codename: The Mozart of death From Jonathan's team."

Both of them entered the arena on opposite sides. Shades had his bastard sword and what looked like a compound bow. The other girl which her name was Hyo had a big backpack. She also was equipped with what looked like to be a shock baton. Ivan than stood up and spoke the following words: "Good luck to all and don't forget to amuse me." Carter looked at his enemy with no emotions he got closer slowly but surely. Meanwhile, Hyo had time set up what was in her backpack. Ivan started to commentate when he noticed what Yellow was planning. "'Looks like park is a support troop. She set up what looks to be a small control tower." At that moment she let out of her bag things that resembled drones. I asked Jo what she was doing and he told me the following: "Yellow is a support troop that is true. However, she is more than just that. With does drones, she has eyes on all the field thanks to a microprocessor that was implanted in her brain. Nothing can escape from her sight." I then noticed that Carter had come to a complete stop. He was just staring at Yellow. She noticed he was glaring and said: "Why aren't you attacking. Are you scared after seeing my range of vision? Now that you know you can't escape me are starting to doubt yourself. Did you not have plans to defeat us all. All bark no bite type of fellow." Carter didn't get mad or anything he just said in a very calm voice: "Are you finished preparing yourself. I don't have all day." Hyo then lost it she lunged at Carter with all her might she took out her shock baton and swung it while she was far away from Shades. We then all understood what happened. Ivan could contain his excitement. So he started commentating again: "Looks like the so-called shock baton was, in fact, A SHOCK WHIP."
