Kagome's POV
The following morning, my phone buzzed at my side, waking me up. It was about 6:30 in the morning, much earlier then what I would have like to wake up. I sat up, picking my phone up along the way. I stretched before checking my notifications, then my messages. Tora had texted me. It was pretty vague, but I understood what it meant.Altair, now.
I rolled out of bed slowly, flumping onto the floor. I stretched, still sitting on the floor, using the bed for support before finally standing up. I slipped into some clothes and grabbed my things before heading out. I grabbed Kazz on the way out the door because I was too young for a license.
"Are you sure? What about what happened yesterday?" I rolled my eyes, leaning against the side of the car door.
"I really don't care if they are ghouls or not, they're my friends and friends stick together." Kazz grumbled before unlocking the car before proceeding to hop in himself. It was a short drive to their side of town, hidden away within the tranquility of both humans and ghouls. There was little activity from this side of town, which was great for the investigators stationed here.

"Kagome! You were quick!" Hanako hurried over to my side, welcoming me in as if nothing had changed. A smile quickly grew on my face when I saw Tora who brought a warm cup of coffee towards me.
"Thanks." I said as she handed the cup to me. She smiled and nodded, motioning for us to take a seat. Kazz was soon given a coffee as well as we all sat around a single table like good old friends.
"So, what was with the cryptic message?" I asked, swishing my coffee around in the cup. Hanako looked at me cautiously, then at Tora before doing a quick scan of the room.
"We have someone to show Kagome and Kagome alone." Tora said, her voice low and serious. Kazz folded his arms crossly before flicking his wrist. It was quite odd, Tora's choice of words I meant. She had said 'someone', not 'something'.
"Whatever, just don't take to long." He said, eyeing them both of suspiciously. Ever since I had found out about their huge secret, Kazz had become a lot more strict on my visiting regulations. If I was going to visit my friends, I would have to do it in his company, so it was quite surprising to see that he was letting me off for once.
Hanako was the first out of her seat , leaving Kazz behind to drink his coffee in the lone shop. Before I was out of sight, I saw Aiko slide into the seat across from him, his yellow eyes glittering with delight.

"So, what was it you wanted to show me?" Hanako smiled and led me into one of the furthest rooms, a curtain draped over the doorframe. She pushed it back to reveal a dimly lit room. Inside, it was quite hard to make out, the only light coming from a small red lamp in the corner, a light blanket draped over it to provide even less light. There were no windows and it was completely quite, the sound of a fan spinning somewhere beyond. As my eyes adjusted, I found that there was a small fridge, a couch and a bed. On the bed was a dark lump, bundled up beneath layers of blankets even though it was summer.
"What's that?" I asked, pointing to the lump. At my voice, the thing stirred before sitting up. Beneath the layers was in fact, a young man. He blinked a few times before admiring me cautiously. For some odd reason, I felt as if I remembered him from somewhere, perhaps a ghoul I had seen in the case files somewhere? No, that wasn't it.
The man cocked his head as he examined me. It made me slightly uncomfortable, to be looked at so much. Finally, the boy forced a short smile. It looked like it hurt, his teeth surprisingly white underneath his pale gums. Tora coughed to catch our attention.
"I was wondering if you could talk to him, seeing as you are an investigator." At the word, the boy yelled in fright, cowering towards the back of the bed. Tora rolled her eyes and looked directly at him.
"Don't worry, she isn't a good investigator." Hanako said, trying to make it seem a little better. Well, there goes a fraction of my ego. I sighed and walked over to the opposite end of the bed.
"Sure, but I would prefer it if you guys left so we could talk alone." I said quietly. Thankfully, they both understood before heading back outside and leaving me alone in the darkness with an odd, bandaged boy.

Aiko's POV
"So, you're an investigator then?" I asked, eyeing the man off. He scowled, his eyebrows furrowing. I couldn't help but laugh at his anger. He turned his head away, folding his arms across his chest.
"Does everyone know?" He asked coldly. I shook my head, regaining some sort of posture before snatching his cup from the table. He turned a sharp eye towards me in a warning gesture. At his glare, I placed the cup back in front of him. I was never a fan of mocha anyway. "So, what do you want with me?" Kazz asked, his eyes covering every inch of my body. I flinched at his harsh tone.
"I just wanted to talk. You seemed like the kinda guy who has a hard time making- or keeping- friends." Kazz hissed warningly. Perhaps I had hit a soft spot? Before I spoke again, I rested my face in the palm of my hand lazily, staring at him.
"Will you stop staring at me like that?" He said, slightly flustered. He quickly averted his eyes and I smirked. Maybe he truly did have a soft spot for me even though we had never talked. I knew I had a charm with the girls, although Tora would deny it, but men also? What a funny world it was! Kazz growled slightly, his face still pink.
"I hate you." He said before standing up to leave. I groaned quietly, sprawling my arms across the sides of the chair.
"Sure you do." I purred as he took his cup to another, singular booth.

Kazz's POV
Damn that guy! He reminded me so much of- him. I was beginning to really hate it. Just the way he talked, acted and looked. I couldn't handle it, not again, please not again.
