They pushed open the door and made their way into Lisa and Dani's room. Katherine came though first, Dani next, and Anthony led Christina in last. He put her down less than gently on the bed. 'Hey, easy!' Amy yelled at him as she ran over to them.
'I'm okay.' Christina said. 'Heal Kath.' She motioned to Katherine's shoulder and Amy went to take a look.
'The good news is that the amulet and the athame's work.' Dani smiled ironically, taking the amulet off and putting it and the athame on the bedside table.
'Yeah, and whats the bad news?' Lisa asked, looking over them with concern.
'Your sisters are idiots who would have gotten themselves killed tonight if I hadn't been there.' Anthony said angrily, sitting down on one of the chairs.
'We were doing fine.' Christina said.
'Of course you were, that's why you're exhausted and covered in blood.' He said sarcastically.
'Part of that's your fault.' Christina reminded him.
'What did you do?' Lisa asked him.
'Choked her with his mist thing, to save a demon.' Katherine told them as Amy healed her shoulder.
'How could you do that!' Lisa exclaimed.
'What do you expect! I am a demon.' He reminded them. 'And Gertrude is a friend.'
'Some friend.' Dani snorted.
'They were only there to get you, so the plan worked.' Lauren told him.
'Jesus, you're something.' He ran his hand over his face. 'What do you want?'
'We need more information about the club so that we can take it down.' Christina said as Amy finished up with Katherine and moved over to her. Amy looked over Christina's arms before raising her hands, letting the warm yellow light heal the cuts. Anthony watched her curiously, leaning forward in his seat.
'What kind of information?' He asked.
'Who runs it?' Lisa said.
'I don't know who runs it.' He admitted. 'There's a guy who organises the fights and another who handles the money.'
'And what about you?' Lauren asked. 'Why are you there?'
'I don't fight, I'm not allowed.' He said. 'I'm in charge of membership, keeping the patrons inline as it were.'
'What does that mean?' Dani asked.
'It means, he kills people if they do something the club doesn't like.' Christina said. 'Isn't that right?'
'Yeah.' He said. 'They thought my power would be too easy to beat people with in the ring, then people would stop betting and fights would be boring, the club would lose money. I come over once every couple of months to take new memberships and sort out any issues, then I go home.' He said. 'That's why I stay in hotels.'
'Is that why you were arguing with that guy?' Lisa asked.
'He didn't want to be a part of the club any more. His wife was getting suspicious.' Anthony told them.
'So you did what?' Lauren wondered.
'I gently reminded him that we appreciate his business.'
'Your power isn't gentle, trust me.' Christina said.
'So who do you report to?' Amy asked, changing the subject. 'The demon in charge must want to know what's going on with memberships.'
'I send email reports after every visit.'
