The Strange Case of Jimin and Jeongyeon

Chapter 5: Jeongyeon

The music was loud with people, both men and women, dancing to it. Others were in their own table drinking alcohol with their peers. Everyone was excited to attend the afterparty because it was one of the rare events in which idols could mingle or socialize with their fellow idols but hidden from the public eye or fancams. The after party was also said to be the perfect place and time for idols to exchange numbers or hook up with their fellow idols.

Jeongyeon stayed on their table with Jihyo, Mina and the maknae line. Nayeon, Momo and Sana wasn't with them and was probably off to somewhere to dance, exchange gossips with other fellow female idols or check out hot male idols. She wanted to socialize with her friends from other girl groups but decided to stay for now and lookout for her members, especially the maknae line. Maybe later since the night is still young.

She eyed her members. Mina was chatting with Jihyo. Tzuyu was being her usual quiet and demure self. Dahyun stood up and said that she would just go to Momoland's table to have a chat with Daisy. Chaeyoung was taking a sip from her wineglass. This was probably her second glass which alarmed Jeongyeon.

"Make sure not to drink too much alcohol," she told the younger member who was often being referred to as baby tiger.

"Of course unnie," Chaeyoung answered. 

"Why don't we all stand up and head to the dance floor," she heard Jihyo say. "Let's enjoy this night since after this, we will be back to our hectic schedule.

"Alright! Let's go girls!" agreed Chaeyoung as she stood up with her members to go to the dance floor.

The remaining Twice members went to the dance floor and had fun dancing together with their fellow idols. They even saw Nayeon, Momo, Sana and Dahyun there and moved closer to them. Many idols were on the dancefloor too, like BTS members minus RM and Suga. She also saw the members of Momoland, WannaOne, other idol group members and soloists like ChungHa.

The crowd on the dance floor formed a circle, clearing the space in the middle of the dance floor. BTS main dancers Jhope and Jimin then started hyping the cleared middle space by performing their own breakdance. The crowd cheered for them. Then the others started pulling Momo and ChungHa to the middle of the dancefloor for them to show their moves. ChungHa just coolly went to the center to have fun by showing her dance moves. The crowd cheered for her by chanting her name.

The Twice member started pushing Momo to the dance floor but she was being her usual shy self. The crowd was chanting her name for her to join the other dancers on the dance floor.

 "You go girl!" Nayeon cheered for her friend and fellow Twice member.

"Woooh!  Go Momo Unnie!," Dahyun cheered.

Jeongyeon then grabbed Momo's wrist and pulled her with her as she walked closer to the center. Then she pushed Momo to the center. She was shy at first but the hyping from the crowd made her shyness gone and suddenly turned into the dancing machine that everyone knew. The crowd chanted her name. The other three dancers on the center cheered for her and they clearly looked impressed with the main dancer of Twice.

The dance floor then turned into a showdown between male idols and female idols. Dancers from other idol groups who attended the party joined in on the fun. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor until the hype finally toned down.

Jeongyeon felt the heat of being on the dance floor with the crowd and thought of getting a drink. She excused herself from her members and told them that she will just get a drink. While on the way to the bar of the function area to get a drink, she suddenly bumped into someone and that person's drink spilled onto her dress.

"Oh no!" where the words that suddenly came out of her mouth. She looked at the person she bumped to and who she saw made her jaw drop.
