The Strange Case of Jimin and Jeongyeon

Chapter 11: Jimin

Morning came and Jimin finally woke up but with a splitting headache. He couldn't remember everything that happened last night, only a few. What he remembered was him meeting Jeongyeon to go to that hotel to try breaking the curse, and they failed.

Then he gasped when he recalled something. He kissed Jeongyeon. For a moment it felt like he was back in his own body when they kissed and he liked it. He liked it very much. That memory of her lips made his face flush. 

He hid his face on the pillow and groaned. He worried that Jeongyeon might be mad at him right now. The fact that he couldn't remember anything that happened after that frustrated him.

Then there was also their situation. He couldn't help but fear that they might not get back to their own bodies anymore. What would he do? What would they do?

He then stood up and went straight to the bathroom that was the closest to this room. His body felt hot probably due to the alcohol so he decided to take a cold shower to cool his body. Her body.

After taking a shower, he decided to call Jeongyeon to check up on her. The phone rang but no one answered. He called her again and again, yet no one still answered. It worried him.

What if she was mad at him for kissing her? 

It felt like he was in his own body and she did kiss her. The fact that he liked it made him guilty. He wondered if she also felt like she was back in her body. 

Did she like the kiss?

The thought of such question made him blush and shook his head. Whether Jeongyeon liked the kiss or not should be the least of his worries. He should be looking for a way to get back to their own bodies. They might be able to manage the situation for a while but they cannot stay like this forever. The thought of not being able to go back to his body made him anxious and his mood went down again.

"Good morning unnie!" Dahyun barged into the room then jumped into the bed beside him and extended her arms onto him, hugging him. She seemed to be in a really good mood.

Jimin felt awkward with Dahyun hugging him. It wasn't supposed to be him, it should be Jeongyeon but he was still in her body. He bet that if Dahyun knew who he was, she would probably punch him on the face. 

"H-hi Ddubu," he said and was slightly shaking. He scolded himself for shaking and feared that Dahyun might get suspicious.

"Nayeon unnie and Momo unnie are back from the gym!" Dahyun said gleefully. "They also brought food and they told me check up on you and tell you that it's time for breakfast."

"Oh," was all he could say. Someone entered the room and it was Momo.

"You're awake Jeongie," said Momo as she dropped her gym bag onto the floor. 

Jimin noticed that Momo grabbed the edges of her shirt and slightly pulled it up. He had a hint that she would be changing her shirt. He immediately looked the other way and closed his eyes. He may like girls a lot and can be a bit flirty but he is still a gentleman.

"Are you alright unnie?" he heard Dahyun ask him in an innocent tone. "Is something wrong?"

"Is Momo-ssi done changing?" he asked.

"I'm done and why are you even closing your eyes?" it was Momo who answered him. "It's not like we haven't seen each other changing shirts. Momo-ssi? What's up with you being so formal today."

Jimin opened her eyes and saw Dahyun and Momo looking at him. Being this close to them, he had a good look of their faces without makeup. They are really good-looking girls. All Twice members are good-looking. If this was a normal situation, he could look at their faces with awe. But right now, it was an awkward situation that he wished would just stop.

"Nevermind, it's probably just the hangover and maybe you're hungry," shrugged Momo. 

"Let's have breakfast unnie," said Dahyun.

"Just go ahead," said Jimin, trying his best not to stutter. "I'll have to go to the bathroom first."

Both girls nodded and left him alone in the room. He went straight to the bathroom and closed the door. He looked at the mirror. She looked like a mess and it was his fault. But she still looked beautiful. He sighed. 

It's going to be a long day.

Imagine being tired without doing much the whole day? That's what exactly Jimin felt. 

All Twice members just sat in front of the TV screen having a movie marathon for the whole day. They were taking the time off for now before their fan meeting 3 from now. He at least watched 3 movies with them with different genres. After three movies, he just barged off from them and quietly went into Jeongyeon and Momo's room. He hoped that they would not mind him. The movies he watched were great but he still felt awkward and out of place most of the time. He was also quiet the whole time. 

Upon observing the girls from Twice, they look like nice, approachable, sweet and easy-going girls. He just doesn't know. They are technically strangers to him. He was also slightly anxious that they might find him suspicious. All the awkwardness, anxiety and being self-conscious around  people he did not fully knew depleted his energy. He just wanted some peace and quiet. He wanted to rest without worries. 

He heard Jeongyeon's mobile phone rang. He took it and when he saw who was calling, his eyes lit up. 

"Hello," Jimin aswered the call.

"Hey, I saw that you called for at least three times," it still felt weird hearing his own voice answering his calls. "I was up early and I just tried to see how it was like to spend time with Bangtan sunbaenims."

"I see," Jimin got curious with Jeongyeon's answer. "So how was it like."

He heard Jeongyeon sigh from the other line. He could tell that her day was just as rough as his. He completely understood her.

"They are really nice people," he heard Jeongyeon say with a hint of awkwardness in her voice. "I just really don't know them. This is a mess and I'm tired ."

"I know, it's a mess," he said to her. "By the way, I'm sorry if I kissed you last time."

"Please don't apologize for it," said Jeongyeon. "I understand why you did it. No need to feel bad about it."

There was silence between them for a while. It was Jeongyeon who ended the silence.

"I am honestly glad or relieved to be able to talk you right now,," he just listened to her as she continued. "Because you're the only person whom I can talk to that I know will understand me."

"I am glad you called too," he said to her. He completely understood where she was coming from. It was weird because he could feel from the other line that she was smiling right now. 

"We are both really exhausted right now," said Jeongyeon. "We should get some rest. Tomorrow will be another messy day. Thank you, really. Goodnight!"

"Thank you too," he answered softly. "Goodnight."
