Ryan's POV

I sighed quietly as I stared at the ceiling, Dallon sleeping peacefully beside me. I just couldn't do it. I've tried and tried yet this world just keeps bringing me back. I reached up and played with a few loose strands of hair. While I was doing this I noticed the dark circles under his eyes and the paleness of his skin. He looked exhausted.

"What are you thinking Ryan? Talk to me." he said suddenly. I jumped, not realising that he shad woken up. "You look so tired. When did you last sleep?" I asked. He just sighed. "When you were unconscious, I stayed beside you all the time. Even at night. Every time I closed my eyes I saw you laid in pools of your own blood. I dreamt that...that I'd lose you." he explained, a small tear running down his cheek. I looked at my lap guiltily. I caused him this pain.

"I'm so sorry Dal..." I whispered as I brushed the tear from his cheek. He chuckled softly and lifted my chin slowly. He pecked me on the lips softly and smiled. "Don't apologise. You're here and that's all that matters to me. I want to spend everyday with you." he said softly. I looked down at the ring on my finger. "Are we still getting married?" I asked. He nodded. "We are but I want you to recover first. You've just come out of a coma."

I smiled at his words. Even though I was unsure at first, I came to realise that I wanted to marry him. I loved him. "Ummm Dal, should you call the doctor? I've been awake for an hour and no one has been in." I said, smiling as he slapped his hand to his forehead. "I completely forgot!!!" he yelled as he ran to the door to fetch a maid. Honestly, his forgetfulness was adorable.

Dallon and I spent a further ten minutes talking before the doctor appeared in the doorway. "Ah Ryan, you're awake. I thought something bad had happened by the way that the maid ran in the room." he chuckled. He checked my heart rate and how my arms were before straightening up and packing his things away. "Now Ryan you're sure you feel ok?" he asked. I nodded. "I'm ok. Trust me." I said. Dallon smiled softly at me. "Ok then, you have two more days of bed rest then you can start moving round but take it easy." he said as he wakes to the door. "Oh and the king has announced that the wedding is in two weekes." With that, he left the room.

"Lay with me Dallon?" I said and he shuffled into the space beside me. "I can't wait to be your husband." I whispered.

"Neither can I."

A/n sorry this update is kinda short. I've been suffering from writers block and just general laziness. These next chapters will hopefully be more exciting. Till then goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow.
