The Last Show.

"Orphic! Orphic! Orphic!"

It was all so exhilarating.

The sound of a sold out show chanting the name of a project I didn't think would ever launch. Thousands among thousands singing the lyrics to our last song of this long, sweaty night. The last song of a tour I felt would never end. Everything moved as if it was all in slow motion, pounding my head up and down forcing my (H/L), (H/C) hair to flow crazily as if underwater.

"The beauty in me
The beauty in me
The beauty's the beast."

My voice rang through the surround sound speakers as the lights dimmed down almost to black. This was the que for the rest of the band to exit the stage, leaving me alone at the mic. At the end of every tour I liked to have a sort of one sided conversation with the last venue.

The lights came back on with one blinding spotlight on me. The crowd erupted in screams when they thought the band was gone for good.

Not yet.

I inhaled deeply before speaking.

"How's everybody doing tonight?!" The crowd cheered. "I'll take that as a good response. If you weren't already aware, tonight was the last show of the tour and I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way." I dragged out my last three words as the crowd began to cheer again. "I want to thank you guys so much for supporting us, for coming out tonight, and for the very few I've seen at every single show we've done this past year." The crowd erupted again. I giggled, "That's right! I pay attention to the people in my crowd. Anyway, before I take off," The crowd booed before I could finish. "I know I know, if I could I'd stay here all night. But.." The crowd grew quiet as I stopped talking to leave them on edge. "I have to get back to finish our next album." I said just above a whisper but enough for the microphone to pick it up.

The crowd roared as I walked off the stage, leaving the venue crew to deal with crazed fans with such valuable information.

I made it back to the shared dressing room for the band. Exhausted, I made a beeline for the mini fridge filled with bottled water. I took a sip and a huge sigh released from my lungs. Then I saw it, blood. Everywhere. My normally loud and rambunctious band memebers were sprawled out on the floor. Dead silent. This was new, there was no stench. There's absolutely no way whoever did this is gone already. I had to get the hell out of there before I was next. The slam of something falling in the bathroom was all I needed to hear before I was out the door.

Oddly, I made it outside with no problem. Everybody was all so busy inside they hadn't noticed one of the biggest stars in the metal scene speeding away in a black 1977 Chevelle.

I had to go somewhere.

"But where?!" I shouted to myself. An idea popped in my head. This was it. If this didn't work, I was screwed.

I sped down the highway with one destination in mind. The city we always avoided on tours.

That was 6 months ago.

I haven't written a story in so long! So here I am blessing you with a bad ass story about a bad ass character in Gotham. Of course, I don't own Gotham or any of the songs that I'm going to use in this story. I will always credit what song is used down here. The little snipet in italics is from Beast Within by In This Moment.
