Chapter 2: Home Sweet Home?~

I hop off the last step to the bus onto the pavement. Its feels good to be home. Even though I'm only here for like four days its still good enough. Its so nice out, in Texas its usually blazing hot but today it feels so good! We parked the tour bus at a parking lot near Austin's house because it wont fit in the back and we don't want girls to know what house it is so putting it in the front wont work either. We start to walk to Austin's house.

"Its so nice out." I say.

"Yeah it is." Austin says.

He slips his arm around my waist and kisses my cheek.

"I have to go see Rhett." I say.

"I'll come with you." Austin says.

I nod. So after we set our stuff down at Austin's house, Austin and i walk to Rhett's house. I don't knock on the door cause before i moved i would just walk in so why not do it now. We get to the living room and, to our surprise, Rhett and Logan are making out on the couch. This makes me a little mad. Not jealous, mad because i don't want Rhett to get hurt like i did. I clear my throat. They both pull away and look over at Austin and i.

"Sadie!" Rhett says.

"Well this is a great way to start out the trip here." I say sarcastically.

Rhett sighs.

"Come here." She says coming over to me, grabbing my hand and dragging me off to the side.

"I can explain." She says once we are out of Austin and Logan's earshot.

I cross my arms.

"Im listening." I say.

"Well Logan was having a party right? So i decided to go, you know just to get out, and it was fun. I mean i was kind of just sitting there the for a bit but then Logan came up and asked me to dance with him so i said yes, after that i was just staying with him cause none of my other friends were there and by the end of the night we were making out in his room..." She trails off.

"How could you do this? You know how bad he hurt me." I say.

"I don't have to ask you who i can date." She says raising her voice a bit.

"You do when its someone who i dated." I say now raising my voice.

"No i don't think i do." She says.

"I just don't want you to get hurt." I say.

"I wont. Logan has changed. But you wouldn't know that cause you haven't been here, no you left me pretty much all alone. Ive had no one until Logan." She yells.

"Oh so thats what this is really about?!" I yell back.

"Yeah it is." She says.

"Well I'm sorry i had to go and support my best friend who was about to live his dream." I say.

"Well I'm your best friend! But you didn't seem to care when you left me." She says.

How could she think i didn't care.

"You had other friends! What happened to them, did they get tired of your constant talking about boys? Cause i know i did!" I say.

She gasps.

"Thats it!" She says and lunges at me.

I lunge at her but I'm immediately pulled back by a pair of arms around my waist. Logan is holding Rhett back.

"Girls, do you see what you are doing? You guys are best friends." Logan says.

"Yeah well not anymore." Rhett says.

That hits me like a bullet to the chest. I didn't think she would go that far.

"Lets go Austin." I say grabbing his hand and leading him out the door.

"Your not really mad at her are you?" He asks.

"What do you think?" I ask.

"But ya'll are best friends." He says.

"Well apparently to her, not anymore." I say.

"Come on Sade, you know she didn't mean it." He says.

"Sounded like she did." I say.

"Well you were being a bit rude." He says.

I stop.

"Excuse me? Who's side are you on?" I ask.

"Well yours but i don't want you mad for the rest of the four days that we are here." He says stepping in front of me.

"Im not gonna be mad the whole time we're here." I lie.

"Don't even try to lie." He says.

I roll my eyes.

"Now go apologize." He says.

"Im not doing that." I say.

"Yes you are." He says.

"No I'm not, you cant tell me what to do." I say.

He steps as close as he can to me.

"Please." He says putting a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"Thats not gonna work." I say.

He puts his index finger under my chin and lifts it up for me to look at him.

"Do it for me." He says.

I can resist him serenading me but looking into his eyes, i cant handle that.

"Fine." I say.

"Thank you." He says.

"Yeah yeah." I say turning around.

I walk back into Rhett's house. Rhett is standing near the door like she was about to go out of it.

"Im sorry!" She blurts out.

"Im sorry too!" I say then run and hug her.

"We're still friends right?" She asks.

"Of course. And I'm sorry about the talking about boys thing, you do it a lot but truth is i do it a lot too." I say.

"You what?" Austin asks

"I only talk about Austin all the time." I correct.

"Mhhm. You better." Austin says.

Rhett and i giggle silently.

"Well we need to get you a ticket and backstage passes for the concert tomorrow night." I say.

"Great! Is there any way Logan could come?" She asks.

I look at Logan.

"Of course he can come." I say and give him a slight smile.

He smiles back.

"Yay!" Rhett squeals.

"Well Austin and i should head back. We'll see you later." I say.

"Okay. Bye." Rhett says.

Austin and i walk out the door.

"See now was that so hard?" Austin asks.

"Shut up." I say.

I know i haven't gotten 15 reads yet but i just decided to post the second chapter anyway:)
