Under the dark blanket of night, far above the skies and into the space between stars, shone an ancient city. Street lamps were the only sources of light at this hour and one angel was still awake. She had arrived at a sacred building; massive in size, it had many rows of steps that were a spectacle to see in itself. There were three hulky guards stationed at the entrance. Each equipped with various types of weaponry. With a deep breath, the girl walked up to them and bowed at their feet.

"Hello, sirs, may I have permission to visit this sacred place?" She asked, "I've heard of its history and wish to view it with my own eyes."

One of the guards took two steps forward and examined the girl. He seemed to recognize her appearance as she held her breath before he towered over her. Then, he bowed in return and the guards behind him did the same.

"O-Of course, Lucy! You're one of the best angels we have in the Seraphim rank, we've heard stories of your strength! Uh, care to tell us why you're here during this hour?"

"Right! Uh, I'm part of the new Seraphim group that makes sure each building...is up to date!" She smiled at them. "If you haven't heard, there's been some trouble happening with vandalized property. So, I'm here to make sure that won't happen!"

"That's a relief! See, we're worried that this building wasn't up to standards ourselves." The guard chuckled. "We need to go check on the other buildings since the Archangels are coming to visit tomorrow.

They stepped aside and opened the grey wooden doors for her. The guards soon took flight and hurried off as Lucy entered the building. Stone marble covered the floors and paintings of graceful deities filled the walls. Muffled sounds of the whirling winds outside gave Lucy a relaxed feel to the sacred place. She closed her eyes and began concentrating on her energy. Soon, a bright light emanated from her body and gave off warmth most familiar to sunlight. It bubbled and surged throughout her body like ocean waves. Energy enveloped her hands and she felt it radiate with warmth, lighting the whole room. She watched as it cut through the shadows. Lucy then saw several markings of an ancient text written in an archaic language.

I can't believe that I'm even in a place like this. Lucy let out an annoyed huff. So much history here and so much to vent with. She couldn't help but smirk.

With a deep sigh, Lucy punched at the air with quick jabs. Each punch delivered a burst of energy as her muscles tensed. The energy penetrated through the thick walls and left many gaping holes.

"Whew, that felt great!" Lucy cheered to herself, "It beats sitting around and not doing anything productive. Those Archangels always downplay my potential. So, I'll let my anger out on their 'precious' buildings." She raised her fist in the air with triumph.

Lucy took another deep breath and a long, thin blade shot out from her hand. She looked around until she spotted an unscathed part of the wall. Lucy listened to see if the guards had returned yet. Hearing nothing other than a shrill response from the wind, she continued with her plan.

Who knew being a Seraphim rank could thrive off incompetence. The Archangels must be wearing these guards down by a lot.

Lucy dug her blade into the wall with little effort and watched as chips of marble hit the floor. She pushed deeper and started to form a straight line. Finished with it, she then followed up with some curved lines. After marking the wall with the word "RESPECT" etched onto it. She dispersed her energy with almost no exertion and the room grew dark once more.

"Awesome, I'd say my penmanship is improving fast! The guards likely won't care to check if they return for the night." She crossed her arms in satisfaction. "Speaking of which, I should go before they come back."
