It was the next day after Yori had stayed at Princess's mansion. Still early in the morning, the weather was sunny and no clouds were in sight. Yori woke up in the bed and slowly headed to the shower room. She turned on the water until it was steamy hot.
"I think today is a good one to head out! The storm's gone and I got a clear shot from here to the city. My head doesn't hurt so this will be the day."
She undressed and got in the shower as the warm water washed against bare skin. Lathering her head with shampoo, Yori was humming to herself now. She felt the drowsiness disappear and was now wide awake.
"Miss Yori, are you getting ready to leave today?" Princess asked while knocking on the door.
She popped her head through the cracked door. This startled Yori, and she almost hit her head on the shower head.
"Huh? Oh! Hey, Princess!! Yeah, I'm getting myself cleaned up before I go. Be out in a minute!"
Yori continued to rinse her hair out with hot water and closed her eyes.
The bubbles disbanded and left her hair soft and curly."Aww ok...when you finish I have something to show you real quick before you leave. Meet me in the foyer, yes?"
Princess exited the room sadly and scampered off downstairs. Yori stopped the shower and got out, then she dried off with a towel.
"Hmm, wonder what she wants me to see? Could it be another surprise like that garden?"
Once she finished, Yori got dressed with a new set of clothes that Princess had given her. When she walked to the foyer, she noticed someone else was in the mansion.
"Who is that? A new guest or something you imagined?"
"This is Psy, my other friend! I forgot to mention her being here before you."
Princess excitedly stood next to the girl, she was taller than her but shorter than Yori. Her hair was a mix of green and brown, and she wore a unique dress. Psy's eyes were covered by bangs, and she gave a smile that made Yori feel uneasy. Princess looked up at the two and giggled when Psy offered a hand out to her.
"Greetings Yori, it's a pleasure to meet you." Her voice was relaxed. "Princess has said a lot of things about you. Like how fun it is having you around the mansion. Sounds nice, right?"
"Y-yup! It's great to meet you too, I've been having a blast playing with Princess!"
Yori nervously shook her hand and saw that she had a small crown firmly stuck on her head.
"Um, I really need to get going. My family has waited long enough for me. Thanks for letting me stay here Princess! I had lots of fun and I hope your other friend can give you tons of playtime too."
Yori headed for the door hastily, when Princess suddenly blocked the entrance and pouted in protest.
"Aren't we family though?" She took a step forward. "Why not stay longer, so we all can play together?"
"Please let me through, my parents are really worried about me. I have to go, but when I return. I'll stop by for a visit promise!"
Yori looked down at her with a shy grin but Princess scowled and folded her arms.
"B-but it's not fair! Why should I let you go see your parents when you have me now!?"
"Princess it's not like that, I understand that you lost your parents." Yori started to back away from her. "I really do but-"
She bumped into Psy who was dead silent, Princess's face turned vile as she kicked the door repeatedly.
"No, no, no! You're my family now, there are no parents for you anymore! Because you'll be living here with me forever!!"
