The blue speck grew much clearer now, Lucy could see green and white patches within the sphere. She struggled to make sense of her current situation and tried to regain her fall speed. Her wings crippled, her back had a stabbing pain, and she couldn't slow down the velocity. As she entered the atmosphere an intense heat struck her and covered her body. Lucy shielded her face and struck the surface with a crash that left her body in great agony. Her heart pounded and a burning sensation remained in her muscles.
"Ugh...that was quite an impact." She gasped and felt her chest hurt. "That damn goddess didn't have to be so cruel about banishing me." She winced from the strain on her muscles and a deep sense of fatigue washed over her. "...I-I can't even muster energy now, there’s only an empty feeling. My body feels like shit and I can’t tell where I'm at."
Lucy stumbled off the ground and dusted herself off. Nothing was in sight but miles of barren grasslands and the quiet whispers of the wind. The sunset casted a mixture of colors such as orange, pink and purple that covered the skies. She noticed that her wings had slumped over. The white feathers now replaced with charred black feathers.
Great...guess I'll have to walk in the middle of nowhere before night comes.
Lucy walked for many hours and her legs cramped while her stomach rumbled with hunger pangs. The sunset had passed into nightfall now and the air got cooler. "I gotta rest my muscles, I do not think my legs have ever had this kind of workout before. My stomach isn't helping any matters either, ugh!"
She collapsed on the ground like a falling tree and propped her head up with her hands. Lucy gazed up at the stars while they glimmered, her eyes squinted and tried to search for the city.
How far away is home…? She closed her eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.

Up in Civitas in Caelum, Yori was flying home when she saw Talai behind her. Huh? What's he doing here? How come sis isn't with him? She stopped and turned around to face him with a curious glance.
Talai looked worried and stopped a few feet away from her. "Hey, Yori. I have some bad news about your sister. Unless your parents already told you but I doubt that."
"What happened? Is she all right Talai!?" She anxiously asked with her eyes widening in terror, "Don't tell me they did something to her..." Her lips quivered and her jaws locked into place as her chest tightened. Yori soon calmed herself, her muscles relaxed and she unclenched her jaw.
Talai checked to see if anybody was nearby, then he stared at her. "Well, she went to go see the high council of Archangels and got struck down by the Goddess of Lightning." He wiped the sweat off his clammy hands, "...I saw it with my own eyes, it was terrifying to put it into words." He took a deep breath and continued, "Heard them say, she was going to become a servant of hell or something. We gotta hurry and get to her before any of that shit happens!" Talai had sweat dripping from his forehead.
"That's insane, there's no way she'd work for a place like that!" Yori went silent by covering her mouth and tried to hold back tears while her chest tightened. "W-We need to go right this instance! I'm going to pack my things, give me a moment until I get ready." Yori flew home in a hurry to prepare for her escape. "Hang in there, I'm coming to rescue you, sis. I promise!"
Talai stared down and saw the stars shimmer back at him. "I hope you're still okay down there..."
Yori arrived at her home and noticed her parents weren't there. She headed straight to her room and hugged herself. "Okay, I need to pack some things for the trip. I’ll take some clothes and-" Yori yawned and continued, "Some other things."
