"Welcome To The Party"

by Diplo, French Montana & Lil Pump ft Zhavia Ward

Noartus

Arica was furious at herself, how could she have lost sight of Sophie? The poor girl get drunk with only a glass of Shirley Temple. Arica preferred blaming the representatives who had come up to bombard her with questions about business, and some to find out if she was free tonight. Sophie must've drifted away from her then.

The last time Sophie was drunk was not a pretty sight, she had ended up crying and screaming "I'm melting for you, Olaf." and banging her hands on the floor of Arica's room in the Pack House. A re-play of that was not what Arica wanted in-front of other packs, Sophie would be punished by the Alpha for bringing dishonor to the pack.

She swerved through the masses, muttering a brisk, "Excuse me." every once in a while.

Clinton was trying to spot his Beta in the sea of people, he couldn't tolerate this woman for another minute.

"So, Alpha, since you haven't found your Luna yet, who do you plan to take to The Alpha Truce?", the woman asked Clinton, batting her eye-lashes almost as if trying  to get rid off something that went in her eyes. It wasn't very appealing, to say the least.

Definitely, not you. Clinton thought.

J, where are you?  Clinton mind-linked his Beta.

Will be there in a minute. The Noartus Beta, Jacques replied.

Clinton couldn't have asked this woman to simply go away, even though he was Alpha. As she belonged to another pack, the on-lookers would've definitely exaggerated the situation and passed it on- throwing dirt on the pack name. That's not what Clinton wanted.

He spotted a familiar dark haired girl passing by. His rescue.

"Arica."

The words of an Alpha held power, even if they were only names. That was enough to stop Arica and she greeted her Alpha and his company.

"Yes, Alpha?"

Arica tried hard not to make a face when she noticed that her Alpha's company was the same woman who'd asked questions about her personal life.

"Would you like to accompany me to The Alpha Truce next weekend?" Clinton asked her, aware that the pest was watching.

Arica was caught off guard by the question. The Alpha Truce was a grande ball held in The Council Palace to commemorate the Laws of The Council and peace among packs. If you wanted to go and attend one of these, you would have to be an Alpha or his date. It was an opportunity, she could meet other Alpha's and talk about expanding business, gain more ties and valuable alliances. She doubted she would get such an opportunity ever again.

"It would be an honor, Alpha." Arica said. She didn't fail to notice how the woman's eyes were narrowed down into slits.

"As you can see, Miss Rayworth, Mrs Derisius is already going to The Alpha Truce with me." Alpha Clinton said, he seemed relieved. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have important matters to discuss with other packs." And with that, he parted.

Thank You, Arica. The Alpha mind-linked her. Since she was human, she could hear him but not reply to him.

"Humpf.", that woman said and sashayed away from Arica.

Arica remembered the task at hand and continued searching for Sophie.

Few minutes later, she did find Sophie.
