"I'm feeling so cool. Top to the bottom, just cool."
Crawfort
Arica hated the weather here, it was hot. But she had expected it considering it was Central America, before The Reveal it was Central America, at least. Now, most of it was Crawfort territory. She wished she could crawl back into the flight.
She waited patiently as the woman behind the desk examined her admittance papers.
The Crawfort airport seemed crowded for a regular day, Noartus could never boast of such a crowd. There were people who did not have admittance papers and were creating a ruckus, people in queues to fill the form for joining Crawfort- but Arica knew all of it was pointless. Crawfort rarely accepted new members, and even if they did- one had to prove their worth, take part in trials and rigorous psychologist sessions to let Crawfort find value in them.
"I've never seen an admittance filed on such a short notice.", said the lady behind the desk as she went through her papers. Her blonde hair was tied elegantly into a bun, her green eyes scrutinizing the documents.
Such flawless features. Definitely a werewolf. Arica thought to herself.
"MateMatch Express works that way.", Arica said.
A woman ran towards the desk, ran as fast as she could in those killer heels and tight uniform,"Mira! There's a call for you.", she said and thrust the phone at the airport official.
"I'm working now, Shya.", the woman behind the desk, Mira, did not even look up from the papers.
"It's from the Beta.", the woman, Shya said.
That was enough to grab Mira's attention. Mira quickly answered the phone.
"Yes?, Beta."
"Of course, Beta."
This was one of those times Arica wished she was a werewolf, the advanced hearing could've helped her listen into the conversation.
Mira looked at Arica and her eyes widened,"Sure, Beta. Yes, I'll send her through right now."
Mira handed the phone back to Shya.
"What was it about?",Shya asked Mira.
Soon, both of their eyes glazed over.
Great, now they're mind-linking in front of me. Arica hated this, it looked rude and she felt left out.
Shya gasped and looked at Arica.
Mira stamped Arica's admittance papers and handed them over.
"Please follow me, lu-Mrs. Derisius.", said Shya.
Arica grabbed her laptop bag and followed Shya. She didn't pack much because this was supposed to be a three hour stay only. She was flying back at 8 P.M. that very day.
Shya led her to the exit of the airport, and stopped when she reached a man dressed in a brown leather jacket.
"Beta.", Shya said and bowed.
Arica knew she should do the same, everyone bows to the leaders of the pack- whatever pack it may be.
Arica bowed,"Crawfort Beta."
The Beta looked taken aback by her action.
"Please, just call me Rhitoro.", he said and took off his sunglasses. "Let me carry your bag, Mrs. Derisius.", he extended his hand.
"No, I can carry it. It's very light." Arica felt uneasy about the whole situation. Surely Crawfort doesn't send their Beta to receive people at the airport. Unless, they're being led to the prison. Arica thought. She shook that thought away, there was an alliance now. She didn't want to be nervous, the werewolves would hear her rapid heartbeat and think weakly of her.
