"Now remember love, a fortnight. Two weeks." Jason reminded youand you fought the eye roll. You understood since he was worried andyou would be to in his shoes. Lily had been clinging onto you allnight. You woke up finding it hard to breathe, you were fine once yourolled a little more and could breathe easy. You understood why theywere like that, the fear. It wasn't just how you might not come back, which it had been over a week since you even had a passing thought ofleaving them. It was that you were out of their protective reach, that they couldn't protect you since you were going to be out ofwhere they could. No magic to keep you safe, as the citizens wouldeven to; you had stumbled once and suddenly two citizens, a lovelyyoung couple who happened to be walking by jumped foreword to holdyou up from falling. To say nothing of the guards.

Lily had even called out to you in her sleep and it was chilling.Name! No Name! Stay with us! Don't die, help is on the way, thehealers are almost here! Stay with us, just a little longer! Ithad almost looked like they were sharing a dream, which they had saidthey sometimes did, he was sobbing in his sleep and letting outcalling in Elvish and depending on his tone it was nothing good.

You were freaked out but didn't allow yourself to panic. You beganhumming gently and cooed to them. You didn't know exactly what yousaid, you were in too much a panic but still you knew it wassomewhere around the lines of 'Jason, Lily, it's okay. I'm fine, whole and unharmed. I love you two so very much, and I'm safe. Safeand sound.' Or something around there and it had at least worked, they had calmed down and held you close in a more natural hold andyou continued to hum to them so they could hear your voice until younodded off.

It was easy to forget but they had seen you die eight times, thatthis was the only way that they could keep you immortal like them andthe fear that something would happen before they could...you couldunderstand the fear.

"It'll be okay, I promise. I have lived twenty five years just finebefore I met you guys don't forget." You teased kissing his cheekand then turning to kiss Lily's cheek. She said nothing and you knewthat was bad; she was just as worried and seems when she gets worriedshe gets quiet. "It is only for two weeks then I'll be back herewith you forever." You promised and gave them a smile and theysighed before kissing you again.

It was so strange to walk out of the door which had been forbidden toyou the entire time. You insisted on wearing the clothing you hadcome to them with and headed home. When you got out you looked aroundconfused as you saw the mill still and it was so weird to thinkanother universe was in there. Of course it wasn't in it wasjust a doorway to their world.

You gave a smile to the door and knowing that they weren't there youstill blew a kiss. "Don't worry guys, I'll be back before you knowit." With that promise to the very wind you turned and headed toyour home. You didn't know what you were expecting but knew you'dhave to come up with a story for them. You knew you couldn't haveleft but forget that no one would believe you, you couldn't tell themanything about elves. You could tell them about people like Jason,Lily, Annie, Lizzy all of them but you couldn't say they were elvesor the Five Kingdoms or anything like that.

You were clean and still well fed, obviously had been taken care ofthis last month and two days. You couldn't say you were lost in thewoods for that long. So what would you say? You had been toying withthis idea on and off and the only thing you could come up with wasthat you had ran into two people and they were nice and you gottalking, that you had gone camping anyway even though that was a lieyou hoped you could fool everyone. That you sent a quick txt but youwere in the woods so didn't know if it would have gotten through andthe second day I had fallen into a stream and my phone didn't work. That I, thinking that my parents had known what was going on, Ididn't think anything of staying.
