Chapter nineteen

Payton's pov still:
We were waiting for almost an hour so I went up to the counter.
Payton: hi can I have a status update on y/n y/l/n?
Nurse: oh she's still in surgery we will let you know if there's anything new.
Payton: ok thank you.
When I walked back over to my seat chase walked in.
Chase: what happened?!
I stayed silent and sat back down.
P/m: she was stabbed and she's in surgery now.
Chase: oh my god how long have you guys been here.
Zoe: almost an hour.
Chase: must be bad.
Chase sat down next to me and I could feel the tears going down my face. I put my head in my hands to try and cover it up but it didn't work.
Zoe: Payton it's going to be ok she will be fine.
Payton: because that's what we all thought when she had shot him.
I got up and went outside. I sat on the curb. I sat out there for a while until chase came outside.
Chase: hey...
Payton: what do you want chase?
My voice cracked a little from crying.
Chase: do you want to talk about it. You've been out here for a while.
Payton: Why can none of you accept the fact that she is not ok. She getting surgery because she got hurt! The funny thing is it's all because of me! I didn't stop her from shooting him nor did I stop her from getting close to him! SO STOP ASKING IF IM OK WHEN IM CLEARLY NOT!
I put my head down until I heard her mom.
Y/m: Payton Chase!
I got up and walked over to her.
Y/m: what happened is she ok where is she?!
Payton: something happened at my house and she got stabbed. She's in surgery right now thought.
Y/m: oh my.
We stayed silent for a couple seconds and I could feel more tears going down my face.
Y/m: oh no Payton DONT cry.
She hugged me and I couldn't help it anymore. I just let the tears fall as she rubbed my back.
Y/m: how long have you guys been here?
Payton: a few hours.
I pulled away and wiped my face.
Y/m: ok let's go inside and get everybody and we can go get a snack and stuff.
Chase: ok.
Y/m: it's nice to see you guys again.
Chase and Payton: yeah...
You guys walked in and told everybody the deal. I decided to stay and have them bring me back something just Incase.

They were gone for about fifteen minutes when the director came out.
I stood up and walked over to him.
Doctor1: she just got done about 30 minutes ago. She is awake but is very sore.
Payton: can I go see her?
Doctor: room 139 on your left.
I ran back to the room and opened the door. I saw her awake and she was on her phone.

Payton: y/n!
He ran over to me and I kissed him.
Y/n: hello.
I smiled and I could tell he had been crying.
Y/n: Pay were you crying?
He gave me a sheepish smile and I laughed. It hurt but I didn't care.
Payton: how are you feeling?
Y/n: just really sore. It hurts to move certain parts to much.
Payton: certain parts huh?
You both laughed and everybody walked into the room.
Y/m: hi!!!
She walked over to you and kissed your forehead.
Y/m: I missed you...
Y/m: I know I'm sorry... they gave me the rest of the week off to come here and help you.
Y/n: well I'm going to be here for a few days so it will go by pretty quick.
You both smiled and Cody and Zoe walked up to you.
Cody: hewo
He smiled and ruffled your hair.
Zoe: how much would it hurt for a hug?
Y/n: a lot I can't really move that much.
You guys laughed and they sat down.
Chase: what's up tree...
Y/n: the sky.
You laughed and chase flicked your head.
Y/n: chase is bullying me!
Your mom pretended to cut off chases head and everybody laughed.
P/m: do you need anything from the house?
Y/n: I just need a few outfits and my phone chord.
P/m: ok we will bring it tomorrow morning.
She smiled and her and Payton's dad left.
Cody: I think me and Zoe are going to head back too.
Cody kissed your forehead and him and Zoe left.
Y/m: I'm going to head over to Payton's to help get your stuff.
Y/n: ok I love you.
Y/m: I love you too.
Your mom left and it was just you Payton and chase.
Y/n: you guys have been pretty quiet.
You looked at Payton and chase.
Chase: I haven't had a reason to talk.
Payton: you were talking to everybody else. I didn't wanna interrupt.
Chase rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone.
Payton: something you need to say chase?
You could tell Payton was getting mad so you grabbed his hand.
Chase: I don't know why do you have to suck up to every single person.
Payton: oh my god chase just shut the fuck up. Why don't you got drop a six pack at another party.
Chase: i would watch your mouth little boy.
Payton and chase stood up and chase walked towards him.
You slammed your phone on the table next to the bed and they looked at you.
Y/n: ENOUGH! Both of you get out now.
Chase rolled his eyes and walked out. Payton almost walked out  until you stopped him.
Y/n: hey pay...
Payton: hmmm
Y/n: do you want to stay the night?
Payton: yeah.
He walked over to the bed and helped you scoot over. You handed him some of the blanket and wrapped your arms around him. He kissed your forehead and you guys fell asleep.
